A winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and a national treasure, Chita Rivera made her annual pilgrimage to Birdland for four very special concerts this past weekend. Of course, the theatrical community showed up to celebrate the ultimate singer/dancer, including Cherry Jones, Stephanie J. Block, Phyllis Newman, Tommy Tune, John McDaniel, David Cromer, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Billy Stritch, Rob Bowman, Louis St. Louis, Gerald McCullouch, Valarie Pettiford, Erich Bergen, Eric Ulloa, and Women on the Verge cast members Laura Benanti, Nikka Lanzarone, Justin Guarini, and Mary Beth Peil. The concerts were part of the Broadway at Birdland series, which celebrate performers and composers from the Great White Way.

Ginger Rogers danced her way into our hearts in the arms of Fred Astaire, setting the gold standard for grace and elegance on the silver screen. Backwards In High Heels tells the captivating story of the star's journey from her hometown to Hollywood and from one love affair to another. San Jose Repertory Theatre's production of this sure-to-be holiday favorite has been called 'an enchanted evening...the melody is flowing and the tap shoes are chattering away, all is nirvana' (Florida Sun-Sentinel).

ROLEX Career Transition For Dancers 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee was a complete sell out with everyone of the 2,700 seats at City Center filled. Over 800 guests went on the the Hilton for the Anniversary supper, the live luxury auction and dancing with the dancers.
