Morrison Center announced today that single tickets for the national tour of the explosive Broadway hit AMERICAN IDIOT, called 'wonderfully raucous' and 'emotionally charged' by The New York Times and 'flat-out electrifying' by the Boston Globe, will go on sale Friday, July 26 at 10:00 AM. Ticket prices range from $37.50 to $57.50 and will be available at the Morrison Center box office located at 2201 Cesar Chavez Lane on the campus of Boise State University, select Bronco Shops, by visiting BoiseStateTickets.com, or by calling (208) 426-1110. Producer David Stone announced today that If/Then, the new musical by the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning creative team behind Next To Normal, Tom Kitt (music), Brian Yorkey (book and lyrics), and Michael Greif (director), will play Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street) in spring 2014. Starring Tony Award-Winner Idina Menzel, If/Then will begin preview performances on Tuesday, March 4, and officially open on Thursday, March 27, 2014. Idina Menzel will return to Broadway for the first time since winning the Tony Award for Wicked in If/Then, an original Broadway musical which reunites Tom Kitt (music), Brian Yorkey (book and lyrics), and Michael Greif (director), the creative team behind the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical, Next to Normal. If/Then is being produced by David Stone, who produced both Wicked and Next to Normal.

Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), the global leader in music rights management, has announced that the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop is now accepting applications for its first year composer/lyricist class. The August 1, 2013, deadline is quickly approaching and applicants are asked to send in the requested materials as soon as possible. The Workshop begins September 23, 2013, and runs through June 2014. A recipient of the Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre Award, the Lehman Engel Musical Workshop consists of approximately 250 composers, lyricists and book writers who are actively writing new works for the musical theatre.
