Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that individual tickets for Flashdance-The Musical and Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins, both running in Minneapolis in April, will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012. Today we are talking to one of the busiest choreographers on Broadway who was recently represented by four shows running on the Great White Way simultaneously (a new record) - the long-running hit JERSEY BOYS, Pulitzer Prize-winner NEXT TO NORMAL, multi-Tony Award-winning MEMPHIS and THE ADDAMS FAMILY. Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta is set to bring five of Broadway's performances to Atlanta's majestic Fox Theatre this season. Featuring two Tony Award® winning musicals, the 2012-2013 season lineup includes WAR HORSE, Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, FLASHDANCE, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET and SISTER ACT.

Broadway regular Sergio Trujillo will direct and choreograph the project, which is set for New York readings this winter and will reportedly head to Toronto for its out-of-town tryout according to a new Equity casting notice. According to the notice, the show will play Toronto from June 26 to August 5, 2012, and opening night on Broadway is currently scheduled for September 20.

According to the NY Ties, producers have confirmed that a fully reworked version of FLASHDANCE, which opened in the West End in 2010, is headed to Broadway in Fall 2012. Producer Thomas Viertel told NYT: "We felt we'd learned enough from the London production to re-work the show substantially and then perhaps take it out on tour, but then we did a table reading of the new script this fall and felt we had the makings of a solid Broadway show. It was a Lazarus-like moment."
