New Dramatists, Tony Honor recipient and the nation's premiere playwright development workshop, honored entertainment lawyer and New Dramatists Chairman of the Board Seth Gelblum with their 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 64th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute, held today, May 21 at the New York Marriott Marquis.

Straight from Las Vegas comes the award winning tribute show, The Rat Pack is Back, live on The Ogunquit Playhouse stage tonight, May 22 to June 8.

New Dramatists, Tony Honor recipient and the nation's premiere playwright development workshop, just honored entertainment lawyer and New Dramatists Chairman of the Board Seth Gelblum with their 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 64th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute, earlier today, May 21 at the New York Marriott Marquis. Among those performing tributes were Tony Award nominee Keith Carradine (Hands on a Hardbody, The Will Rogers Follies) and Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins (Caroline, or Change; Jelly's Last Jam). Earlier this week I posted how I voted for this season's Outer Critics Circle Awards, so now here are the picks from my ballot for the Drama Desk Awards, which will be presented Sunday night.

A special industry 'by-invitation-only' staged reading of the new Broadway-bound play COFFEE STAINS will be presented tonight, May 20th at the award-winning Colony Theatre in Burbank, Calif. The reading will be directed by acclaimed Ovation Award winning director Jenny Sullivan (The Geffen, Pasadena Playhouse, Laguna Playhouse, Williamstown, Lucille Lortell, The Rubicon, Ensemble Theater of Santa Barbara, The Falcon).

The Constitution is the only document you get more knowledge of it, the drunker you get.  Why?  It was written during a four month drunken binge. The bills from those days show thousands of dollars in wine, port, beer.  They were all drinking.

Two-time Academy Award winner and 2013 Tony nominee Tom Hanks may be taking Nora Ephron's LUCKY GUY to London, The Daily Mail reports today. The actor is in talks for a West End opening in 2014, though it's reportedly far from a done deal.

When he assumes his hosting duties on Saturday Night Live this Saturday, Ben Affleck will join SNL's exclusive '5-Timer's Club.' To mark the occasion, VH1 will air his first four appearences on the legendary comedy show beginning Saturday May 18th at 2:00 PM ET/PT.* Later that evening, Affleck will take his place alongside fellow 5-timers like Justin Timberlake, Tom Hanks, and Alec Baldwin.
