Stage and TV veteran Nicholas Rodriguez sat down with BroadwayWorld this week to chat about his debut album THE FIRST TIME, his upcoming solo-cabaret debut at BIRDLAND and his work with the BROADWAY DREAMS FOUNDATION.

BROADWAY BARES is an annual event that consists of an evening of sexy striptease that benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year the event will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a spectacular edition, Broadway Bares: Top Bottoms of Burlesque, a show inspired by the golden age of Broadway.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) presented its first-ever NYC Summer Performing Arts Intensive this June 8 - 14, 2015 at RWS & Associates in Long Island City, NY.

Led by Artistic Director Robert Battle, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's 2015 Lincoln Center engagement kicked off with a star-studded Ailey Spirit Gala on Wednesday, June 10th. The one-night-only benefit performance and party honoring the Ford Foundation and sponsored by FedEx featured supermodel and actor Tyson Beckford as Honorary Chair. Gala Co-Chairs were Gina F. Adams, Ricki Lander, Almaz & Marc S. Strachan, Pamela Zilly & John Schaefer and Daria L. & Eric J. Wallach, and the Vice Chairs were Michele & Timothy Barakett, Dr. N. Anthony & Robyn Coles, and Leslie & Tom Maheras. The evening helped raise over $1 million for Ailey's extensive educational programs for young people, including AileyCamp and scholarships to The Ailey School.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to OASIS (298 Eleventh Street, San Francisco CA) on Saturday, August 1 at 7:00 PM after a sold out debut show in April.

Broadway's Tituss Burgess, who plays Ellie Kemper's flamboyant roommate in the Netflix show "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' stopped by a recent episode of NBC's TODAY to tell Kathy Lee and Hoda how he tossed a delicious pizza on the floor when he found out he got the role.

SPARKLE & CIRCULATE with JUSTIN SAYRE - the official monthly podcast of the International Order of Sodomites - has posted the seventh episode, which features an in-depth conversation with Carl Siciliano, founder of the Ali Forney Center, which provides shelter and services for homeless LGBT youth. The show is available on iTunes here.  Every June, Sayre's event Night of a Thousand Judys honors Judy Garland for Pride and raises money for the organization. Carl explains how the center was formed, who Ali Forney was and the challenges they face with fundraising. The Fall 2014 shows sold out after a New York Times 'Arts & Leisure' piece ran last September.
