Watford Palace Theatre to Premiere New Play by Neil D'Souza

This October Watford Palace Theatre will be producing the world premiere of Coming Up, Neil D'Souza's evocative, playful and magical new play about family ties, and how quickly we can become disconnected from ourselves. The play was commissioned by Watford Palace Theatre (WPT) and will be directed by Artistic Director Brigid Larmour.

Bella Poynton is a playwright and Buffalo native, currently working as a teaching artist throughout the Buffalo and Central NY regions. Her plays have been developed at the Great Plains Theater Conference, Otherworld Theater, The Science Fiction Theater Company, Panndora Productions, and The Barrow Group. She recently won the 8th Annual Festival of New Plays at Panndora Productions, and is a finalist in the 2015 Samuel French OOB Short Play Festival.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has announced full casting for Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, which begins rehearsals today, Monday 11 May. Celebrated as one of the most important plays of the nineteenth century, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre have commissioned a new version by Torben Betts to mark the 120th Anniversary of Chekhov's original play. The Seagull will run at the iconic theatre from 19 June - 11 July.
