Among those nominated are Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez for a?oeInto The Unknowna?? from Frozen 2; Joshuah Brian Campbell and Cynthia Erivo for a?oeStand Upa?? from Harriet; and Justin Paul, Benj Pasek and Alan Menken for a?oeSpeechlessa?? from Aladdin.

KC Ballet's 2019-20 season premiere features humor, color, and magical images

Daniel Craig's third foray as the infamous spy sees Bond grappling with his past in order to secure his future, going head-to-head with a former agent (played by Javier Bardem) whose sole motivation is avenging what he saw as betrayal by M (Judi Dench). Skyfall continues the films in concert series at the Royal Albert Hall, and is the second Bond film to be presented in this manner here.

Disney's 'Pixar in Concert', in which a live symphony orchestra performs selections from 14 Pixar film scores to a montage of scenes from each movie, comes to Musco Center for the Arts on Saturday, September 28 at 7:30pm. 

Award-winning Canadian composer Patric Caird has worked in film and television since the early 1990s, creating more than 400 scores for a variety of programming including animation, documentaries, comedy and drama that has been broadcasted world-wide. Caird currently scores Netflix's horror drama series The Order, which was recently renewed for Season 2, as well as Fab Filippo's CBC comedy series Save Me which won a Canadian Screen Award and has six additional nominations.

Last night, BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) held its35th annual Film, TV & Visual Media Awards to celebrate the top performing composers in film, TV and visual media of the past year. The highest honors of the evening went to film composer and multiple award-winning jazz musician Terence Blanchard, who was named a BMI Icon in recognition of his significant contributions to the cinematic community, and William Ross, who received BMI's Classic Contribution Award for his outstanding work as an arranger, orchestrator, conductor, music director, composer and mentor to emerging talent. The private ceremony was hosted by Vice President Creative – Film, TV & Visual Media, Doreen Ringer-Ross and BMI President and CEO Mike O'Neillat the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

The award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company presents two events in time for Halloween: 'Poe by Candlelight' on Saturday, October 20 at 8:00p.m. and the classic silent thriller, 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,' accompanied by Wayne Zimmerman on the organ, on Sunday, October 21 at 7:30p.m., both at The First Presbyterian Church, 500 Hughes Street in Cape May, where the theater is in residence.

Sundance Institute and Skywalker Sound today announced the composers and directors selected for the Sundance Institute Film Music and Sound Design Lab, which returns to the legendary Skywalker Sound Facilities for the sixth year. More than half of the composers selected for this year's Lab are female.
