As previously announced, HAMILTON, the critically acclaimed and multi-award winning Broadway musical will open at the end of 2017 at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London which is currently undergoing an extensive multi-million-pound refurbishment. The producers are delighted to be able to confirm that tickets for the London production of HAMILTON, will go on sale in January 2017. Previews commence in November 2017. Full details of prices, booking information and performance schedule will be announced in January 2017.

#EduHam is a series of HAMILTON Wednesday matinees made available to New York City schools with a high concentration of students from low-income families for the ticket price of only $10. This educational partnership, made possible through a $1.46 million grant by The Rockefeller Foundation, is not only providing 20,000 NYC public school students with the opportunity to see HAMILTON on Broadway, but provides educational material by Gilder Lehrman to incorporate material from the musical into the American History curriculum.

Tony and Emmy Award winner Thomas Kail (HAMILTON, GREASE LIVE) will team with rapper-actor-producer Common to produce a new comedy for FOX titled 93 TIL INFINITY, about a 90's rapper.

Actor and Hollywood Records recording artist, Jordan Fisher will make his Broadway debut in Hamilton when he begins performances as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton on Tuesday, November 22.

The countdown is on as the time window for voter registration grows smaller for most states. For the October 13th digital #Ham4Ham, members of the Hamilton cast in Chicago performed a cover of Phillip's verse in the musical's song 'Take a Break,' urging people to get out and register to vote. On Monday, October 17 the Theater People podcast welcome's Broadway favorite Jay Armstrong Johnson. Armstrong made his Broadway debut in 2009 in HAIR. He next stood-by for Aaron Tveit in CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. He originated the role of Greg Wihote in the 2013 Broadway production of HANDS ON A HARDBODY and then starred as chip in the critically acclaimed 2014 revival of ON THE TOWN. For the episode, Johnson talks about how discovering theater at a young age changed his life for the better, how he was able to make Broadway producers take him seriously as a leading man, and shares some of the music from his new album 'Jay Armstrong Johnson: Live at Feinstein's / 54 Below.'

Tony Award nominee Christopher Jackson will play George Washington in the Broadway production of HAMILTON one last time on Sunday, November 13. Jackson is currently filming CBS-TV's 'Bull' and has recorded an original song written by Lin-Manuel Miranda for the new Disney film Moana in theaters this November. Mr. Jackson originated the role of George Washington and has played the role in HAMILTON since the musical began performances last year at the Public Theater.

It is 7:04pm on a Thursday. To the average audience member of THE COLOR PURPLE, the most important person waiting backstage is one of the above-the-title stars (Cynthia Erivo, Jennifer Holliday or Danielle Brooks). But those in the industry know that, at this particular moment, the most important person is a woman sitting stage right in front of three monitors. That woman, with a headset on and binder in front of her, is Stage Manager Sharika Niles. She is the one who will soon give the word to start the show. She is the one who tonight is in charge of 'calling the show.' She is the one who will dictate the show the audience sees by giving the word for a spotlight, sound effect, set movement, etc..

According to The Stage, the producers of Hamilton will be holding an open call in London to cast the roles for the musical's upcoming West End production. Singers who rap and dancers of all ethnicities in their 20s-30s are encouraged to attend, although at this time the producers are not auditioning actors to play the role of King George III. 

On October 24, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDC Foundation) will celebrate the 27th Annual Joe A. Callaway Award winners for Direction and Choreography at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The evening will be hosted by former Callaway Award-winning Jack O'Brien and Callaway Award finalist Joshua Bergasse.

A lawsuit has been filed by producers of the mega Broadway hit musical HAMILTON against merchandisers who have been illegally hawking t-shirts and other goods featuring the iconic logo from the show.

Fans may not be able to see the epic Ham4HamShow outside the Richard Rodgers anymore, but Joshua Henry, who plays Burr in the current Chicago production of Hamilton, is keeping them musically entertained in the meantime. Henry's taken to posting videos of himself (and, sometimes, other cast members) covering songs from the beloved show.
