The new solo CD by Telly Leung - who just opened to rave reviews in the new Broadway musical ALLEGIANCE opposite George Takei and Lea Salonga - is out now on iTunes, and Telly will celebrate the album at JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater tonight, November 23 at 7:00 PM.

As part of its 2015-2016 Performing Arts Season, Japan Society presents A Night of Kyogen with Mansaku Nomura and Mansaku-no-Kai Kyogen Company, bringing this renowned company back to Japan Society (333 East 47th Street) for three performances only: Thursday, December 10 - Saturday, December 12. Performances at 7:30pm.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. Young Jean Lee's STRAIGHT WHITE MEN will have its West Coast premiere November 20 - December 20, 2015, at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre, directed by Lee and presented in collaboration with the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA. The first U.S. performances of the play since The Public Theater presented its New York premiere last fall will feature a cast of Frank Boyd, Richard Riehle, Brian Slaten and Gary Wilmes.

Labyrinth Theater Company has announced the line-up for the 17th Annual Barn Series, the award-winning company's free play reading series.

The Tank (Rosalind Grush and Rania Jumaily, Artistic Directors), a non-profit arts presenter located in the heart of midtown, will present AN OTHELLO THING, an experimental play that involves abstract language, non-linear storytelling, and an awareness by the performers of their performance. In this play, written by Sean Edward Lewis, a man (Lewis) and a woman (Claire Campbell) carry out violent Othello Experiments in their domestic domain.

Happy Birthday Daphne Rubin-Vega! Rubin Vega is a two-time Tony and Drama Desk nominee and recipient of the Theater World, Obie, Blockbuster awards and was recently nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for her role in Jack Goes Boating. She is perhaps best known for the roles she originated, including Mimi (RENT) and Conchita (Anna in the Tropics), both Pulitzer Prize winning Broadway shows for which she was nominated for the Tony award. She also originated the role of Rahmi (Gum), Sofia (Nilo Cruz' Two Sisters and a Piano), Canary Mary (Suzan-Lori Parks' f**king A, Lucille Lortel nomination) and Lucy (Jack Goes Boating) at the Public Theater, as well as starred in the Broadway revivals of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Magenta) and Les Mis, ('Fantine') and most recently, The New Group's Blood From a Stone ('Yvette') opposite Ethan Hawke.'
