The Active Theater announced today that it will honor Academy Award ® winner and four-time Tony Award ® nominee Estelle Parsons with the inaugural Active Arts Award at its Spring Gala on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 7:30 pm at Trattoria Trecolori (254 West 47th Street, Manhattan), in the heart of New York's theater district.

'Modern Family' stars Ed O'Neill, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet will be answering James Lipton's famous 'Inside the Actors Studio' questions this May.

Previews begin on June 7th and opening night is Wednesday, June 22.

In Rome, Italy on Thursday, September 23rd there was a press conference announcing the World Premiere of Frank J. Avella's new play 'Vatican Falls' at Teatro Il Vascello. It will open on May 2, 2011.
