The University of Texas Department of Theatre and Dance at Austin presents UTNT (UT New Theatre), February 27 - March 9 at the Lab Theatre. This annual showcase presents new plays from the Master of Fine Arts Playwriting Program.

Transport Group, the Drama Desk and OBIE award-winning theatre company presents Almost, Maine, written by John Cariani and directed by Jack Cummings III. Due to strong ticket sales, this first New York revival of one of the country's most produced plays will now play through Sunday, March 2 at the Gym at Judson, 243 Thompson Street at West 4 Street. The evening's one-of-a-kind all-star tribute, hosted by Emmy®, Grammy, Oscar and Tony® Award winner, Whoopi Goldberg, featured dozens of celebrities from Hollywood and Broadway in a one-night-only evening of musical selections drawn from Mr. Harris' career in theater, film and television, co-directed by Tony® Award winner and Drama League Alumnus Michael Mayer with Johanna McKeon, and co-produced by Roger T. CRYSTAL SPRINGS, a thought-provoking new play that interweaves the challenges of parenting in the digital age with a suspenseful tale of online misbehavior and its vicious consequences, will receive its world premiere at the Eureka Theatre in March. This latest work by rising playwright Kathy Rucker, a Humana Festival Heideman Award finalist, will be directed by award-winning British director Anna Jordan. The winner of the 2014 Richard Rodgers Production Award for Musical Theater was announced today by the American Academy of Arts and Letters, which administers the Richard Rodgers Awards.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University presents the world premiere production of Witness Uganda, created by Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews, directed by A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus, with choreography by Darrell Grand Moultrie and Music Director, Remy Kurs. The production begins performances at the Loeb Drama Center at 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge tonight, February 4, and will run through March 16.

With James Levine on the podium, and Thomas Hampson in the title role, Deborah Voigt will make her role debut as Marie in Alban Berg's harrowing opera Wozzeck at New York's Metropolitan Opera (March 6 - 22). The revival of this 'arrestingly abstract ' (New York Times) staging of Berg's landmark opera is highly anticipated, pairing two beloved American singers with a conductor - the Met's music director - who is widely regarded as one of the work's most passionate advocates. The fifth and final performance of Wozzeck this season will be broadcast live on Saturday, March 22 in the Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast series on WQXR 105.9 FM and online at www.wqxr.org. In April, Voigt heads out for a four-city recital tour, taking her to three venues in California and a return engagement in the 75th anniversary season of Boston's popular Celebrity Series. On May 14, she returns to the Met to host the 'Live in HD' broadcast of Rossini's La Cenerentola.

Opera great Maria Callas is presented in all her temperamental, tempestuous glory when The Pennington Players present 'Master Class' at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre Fridays, Feb. 21 and 28 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Feb. 22 and March 1 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Feb. 23 and March 2 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced the 2014 Main Stage Season, the 60th Anniversary Season for the Tony Award-winning theatre company. The Main Stage Season will kick off on July 2, 2014 with a revival of Ring Lardner and George S. Kaufman's June Moon, directed by WTF favorite Jessica Stone (July 2-13); the season will also include the World Premiere of Living on Love by Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro and Garson Kanin (based on Kanin's play Peccadillo), with celebrated soprano Renee Fleming in her Festival debut, directed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall (July 16 - 26), and the highly anticipated revival of Kander and Ebb's The Visit, featuring Tony Award winner Chita Rivera, directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle (July 31 - August 17).

Ars Nova kicks off 2014 with Game Play, this year's incarnation of Ars Nova's annual Play Group production. An evening of original short plays and live music inspired by classic board game titles, Game Play features Peter Benson, Marcia DeBonis, Dashiell Eaves, Brandon Gill, Ben Graney, Susan Heyward, Jessica Love and Carmen Zilles. This production plays 10 performances, today, January 29 - February 8.

Tony and Emmy Award-winning actor David Hyde Pierce will return to the hysterically funny and affecting new play 'Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,' this time directing the play which earned him his most recent Tony nomination. Christopher Durang's Tony-winning farce will be performed at the Center Theatre Group / Mark Taper Forum, tonight, January 29 through March 9, 2014, and will feature two Tony-nominated members of the Broadway cast.
