YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN to Open at Gateway Playhouse Tomorrow

The Gateway's 2013 season continues with "Young Frankenstein," June 12-29 at Bellport's Gateway Playhouse. Based on the movie of the same name, Mel Brooks' Tony nominated "Young Frankenstein" will be making its Long Island premiere at the region's oldest professional theatre.

Bay Area Cabaret concluded its 2012-2013 season by honoring the memory and legendary career of composer Marvin Hamlisch on June 2, 2013. Selections from his work (A Chorus Line, The Way We Were, They're Playing Our Song) were performed by special guests, including Broadway stars Lisa Vroman (The Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd) and Karen Mason (Mamma Mia!, Sunset Boulevard), Grammy Award winner Billy Stritch, 2012 Bay Area Teen Idol winner Bobby Conte Thornton, Academy Award-winning songwriters Alan and Marilyn Bergman, and more. Young Actors' Theatre Camp Program Directors Shawn Ryan and John Ainsworth announced today that several stars of stage and screen - including two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (ABC's 'Bunheads,' Thoroughly Modern Millie, Anything Goes), Darren Criss (Fox's 'Glee,' How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying), Jonathan Groff (Fox's 'Glee', Spring Awakening) Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Stars' 'Spartacus', CW's 'Vampire Diaries'), Naomi Grossman (FX's 'American Horror Story') and Jim O'Heir (NBC's 'Parks and Recreation') - will lead master classes at the Young Actors' Theatre Camp taking place June 24 - July 30, 2013.

Joanna Gleason to Kick Off Provincetown's Broadway Series, 6/28-29

Joanna Gleason won the Tony Award for her leading role of the Baker's Wife in Into The Woods, by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. She launches this season's Broadway @ The Art House season in Provincetown on June 28 and 29 with An Evening with Joanna Gleason. Each performance will combine the East Coast premiere of a the hilarious and moving one act play Bloom, written for her by Emmy and Golden Globe winning writer Michael Patrick King (creator of Sex and The City & Two Broke Girls) with a second act of songs featuring special guests Well-Strung, and hosted by pianist/host Seth Rudetsky. BEN RIMALOWER: "PATTI ISSUES" - the hit Off Broadway solo play hailed as "ecstatically vivid" by The New York Times and praised for its "wit, feeling and conviction" by Time Out New York - has added a second performance for its Chicago premiere due to high ticket demand. In addition to the show on Thursday, June 13, there will be an additional show on Friday, June 14. Both will be at Mary's Attic at 8:00 PM. After rave reviews and a host of awards, the New York production of "PATTI ISSUES" was recently extended for the sixth time and will run through June 29 at The Duplex in the West Village. BUNHEADS S2 Qualifies For CA Tax Break

ABC Family cult hit, the ballet-themed teen-centric series BUNHEADS, starring Broadway favorite and two-time Tony Award-winner Sutton Foster, has yet to be officially renewed by its network following a bumpy first season, but a huge boon has now been offered to the on-the-bubble series: a major California state tax credit.

The Town Hall is proud to announce the season finale of Broadway by the Year featuring The Broadway Musicals of 1988, includingThe Phantom of the Opera, Chess, Legs Diamond, Romance Romance, Carrie, and More! Scott Siegel, the creator, writer, and host of Broadway by the Year has selected a half dozen performers to star in the concert, including Howard McGillin, who holds the record for playing 'The Phantom' longer than any other actor in Broadway history. He will be joined by one of his Christines, Jennifer Hope Wills. Drama Desk Nominees Farah Alvin (The Marvelous Wonderettes) and Kevin Earley (Death Takes a Holiday) return toBroadway by the Year. Lisa Brescia, who starred on Broadway in Twyla Tharp's The Times They Are A-Changin', as Elphaba in Wicked, and as Donna in Mamma Mia! makes her Broadway by the Year debut and favorite Scott Coulter will direct and star in the concert. The cast will be joined by the Broadway by the Year Chorus.

Bay Area Cabaret Pays Tribute to Marvin Hamlisch Tonight

Bay Area Cabaret will conclude its 2012-2013 season by honoring the memory and legendary career of composer Marvin Hamlisch. This tribute to his legacy will take place on the late composer's 69th birthday, tonight, June 2, 2013, at 8pm in the historic Venetian Room of the Fairmont San Francisco (950 Mason Street).
