The curtain rises at Town Hall in New York City on March 21, 2010 in celebration of the sixth annual 'ABC/SOAPnet Salutes Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS as the spotlight shines on stars from ABC's 'All My Children,' 'One Life to Live,' 'General Hospital' and 'The View' who'll join together singing and dancing on Broadway for a one-night-only gala concert in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. ' The announcement was made today, by Brian Frons, president, Daytime, Disney-ABC Television Group.

Last week, the Beverly Center welcomed the cast of 'All My Children' to LA. Production of the show just moved to the west coast from New in January. BroadwayWorld's Audra Stafford spoke with some of the stars about what they miss most about New York ('everything') and what they're most enjoying about California ('the weather'). She also spoke with Cameron Mathison about the highly anticipated 6th Annual ABC Daytime and SOAPNet Salute to Broadway Cares benefit taking place at Town Hall in New York City on March 21, 2010.

The New York City Gay Men's Chorus' Big GAY Sing 2 takes last year's sellout sing along and turns up the dial. This show has it all - including the chance to sing a solo with the Chorus in our Big Gay Idol competition. With music from Lady Gaga, Glee and Beyonce to classics by George Michael, Cher and Broadway, plus dance and drag, BGS2 leaves no gay stone unturned. On March 25 and 26, the NYCGMC is going to fill Skirball with glitter, glamour, and gorgeous men.

Laurie Anderson, Joan Osborne and Suzanne Vega will unite to perform a one-night-only benefit concert for the Women's Project, the 32-year-old theater company dedicated to producing the work of female theater artists, on International Women's Day, Monday, March 8, at 6:30pm at the Women's Project's home, the 199-seat Julia Miles Theater, 424West 55th Street.

Producers Tom Hulce and Ira Pittelman announced the complete Broadway cast of AMERICAN IDIOT today. The production will begin previews on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 and open on Broadway Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44 Street).

The New York Times had a full line-up of celebrities partaking in the annual Arts & Leisure Weekend, being held from January 7 - January 10, 2010. Among the theater stars and playwrights participating this year include Tony Award winners Angela Lansbury (A Little Night Music), Alan Cumming (Cabaret), Liev Schreiber (A View From The Bridge) and John Patrick Shanley(Doubt). Additional names include Carrie Fisher (Wishful Drinking), James McAvoy( Three Days of Rain), Natalie Portman (The Seagull), Liev Schreiber (Glengarry GLen Ross), and performers and creators from Cirque du Soleil's Banana Shpeel.
