Coming next to the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park is the funny and exciting world premiere of DEAD ACCOUNTS by Cincinnati native playwright Theresa Rebeck.

THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION tells the story of two Catholic sisters whose faith is rocked after a visit from a young evangelist. To fight back, the women invite the missionary and their unsuspecting parish priest to a truly devilish dinner party, where they stage a theological showdown in this all-out questioning of faith and belief.

Closing out FST's summer season is an off-Broadway comedy you can believe in. Featuring star-studded casts, a diverse group of both celebrated and emerging playwrights, a team of professional directors, and an accomplished design team, this year's New Play Festival will perform for one-night-only at New World Stages (340 West 50th St., NYC). The festival is presented in honor of Support Women Artists Now Day/SWAN Day (www.SwanDay.org), an annual celebration of the diversity, beauty and power of women's creativity. Proceeds from the festival will benefit the League of Professional Theatre Women, in its mission of promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre.

Chamber Music Palisades (CMP), the Westside music series celebrated for its stellar artistic line up and juxtaposing works old and new, presents noted artists Sarah Thornblade, violin, Robert Brophy, viola, and Armen Ksajikian, cello, who join series Co-Artistic Directors Delores Stevens, piano, and Susan Greenberg, flute, to perform four mesmerizing chamber music gems on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, 8 p.m., at St. Matthews Parish in Pacific Palisades. Playwright Geoffrey Nauffts has put together a provocative and engaging evening of theatre with his work, NEXT FALL, which thematically concerns itself with issues of homosexuality and faith. It certainly fulfills my personal requirements for must-see theatre by making the audience laugh, cry and think, and it does so with a considerable amount of charm and wit. The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis is presenting Next Fall as part of their Studio Theatre series, although it's being staged at the Grandel Theatre in order to take advantage of the space required, and they've assembled a splendid cast to bring this heart-breaking story to life.
