Adam and Luke have been in a committed relationship for five years despite their wildly different religious beliefs. Adam is a forty-something hypochondriac who is unsure of everything-everything except Luke. Luke is a thirty-something up-and-coming actor who is sure of everything-especially his devotion to God and being a Christian. When a tragic event sends Luke into a coma, Adam, and Luke's family and friends, are forced to examine their own faith and beliefs by turning to each other. In the complicated world of relationships, Next Fall explores, with humor and insight, issues of faith, gay partnership, families and what it means to love in a world that constantly tries to define who we are.

The cast of Next Fall at The Rep is Susan Greenhill as Arlene (last seen in The Glass Menagerie), Colin Hanlon as Luke, Keith Jochim as Butch (last seen in Frost/Nixon), Jeffrey Kuhn as Adam (last seen in My Fair Lady), St. Louis theatre and cabaret favorite Ben Nordstrom as Brandon (last seen in [title of show]) and Marnye Young as Holly (last seen in A Christmas Story).

Rep Associate Artistic Director Seth Gordon makes his Rep directing debut with Next Fall.

The creative staff also includes Brian Sidney Bembridge, set designer; Lou Bird, costume designer; John Wylie, lighting designer; Rusty Wandall, sound designer; and Shannon B. Sturgis, stage manager.
