The School of Theatre at Florida State University proudly presents Five Women Wearing the Same Dress written by FSU Alum, Alan Ball. Directed by MFA Directing candidate, Jenna Tamisiea, this production follows five bridesmaids on the big day as they squeeze into their horrible dresses and take a trip down memory lane. Nominees for the 2014 LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards were announced on the evening of Monday, September 22 at Native Voices at the Autry National Center in Los Angeles. The nominations were revealed by past Ovation Award recipients Gigi Bermingham, Brighid Fleming, Parmer Fuller, Jennifer Haley, Brian Kite, Glynn Turman, and John Zalewski, along with LA STAGE Alliance Chief Executive Officer Terence McFarland.

Florida Studio Theatre's WRITE A PLAY season will kick off in the Keating Theatre with RAP-Punzel by Beth Duda and Adam Ratner. Directed by Associate Artist, Jason Cannon, performances begin in the Keating Theatre tonight, September 23 and will play through November 14 to students from Sarasota and Manatee County schools.

The Metropolitan Opera Live in HD Series continues in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre at 1 pm on October 18th with Mozart's LE NOZZE DI FIGARO.

The Warner Theatre will host The Connecticut Artists & Playwrights Festival, presented by the CT Dramatist Guild, Sunday, October 19 at 3 pm, in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre.

The Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education will present a Master Class with SFX Makeup Artist TYLER GREEN, in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on Saturday, October 25 from 2-5 pm.

L. A. Unified, a solo show written and performed by David Newer, will play at the Theatre Row Complex (410 W. 42nd St.) as part of the United Solo Festival on October 11th and 20th starting at 7:30PM. Erica Silberman directs Newer as he embodies 16 characters while recounting the chapter in his life as a substitute teacher in the often brutal L.A. Unified School System.

California Stage will revive Rick Foster's smash-hit show Love, Isadora today, September 20th-October 12th, 2014.

Canadian Burlesque Star, Rosie Bitts, makes her New York City debut in her new solo-show, Stories of Love and Passion which is being presented by the Untied Solo Theatre Festival. Stories of Love and Passion is written and performed by Rosie Bitts, directed and dramaturged by Suzanne Bachner and accompanied by Jeff Poynter. Rosie will be donating 5% of all profits from her solo work, Stories of Love and Passion, to local organizations that advocate for sex workers.

Loading Dock Theatre presents The Twelfth Labor, a world premiere epic family drama by Leegrid Stevens. Matt Torney directs a cast of eleven, including Cynthia Babak*, Amy Bizjak*, Jed Dickson*, Jonathan Draxton, Dennis Gagomiros*, Shelby Hightower, Michael Huston*, Tanis LePore, Lynne McCollough*, Erin Treadway, and Brian White. Performances will be staged at The Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street, New York, NY 10012 from today, September 19-October 11, 2014.

The Playwrights Realm has selected four early-career playwrights for its 2014-15 Writing Fellows program: Michael Yates Crowley, Sarah Gancher, Emma Goidel, and Tony Meneses.

Women's Project Theater, under the leadership of new Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty and Interim Executive Producer Jessica R. Jenen has announced the four plays in its 2014-15 season, continuing the theater's 37 year commitment to producing the finest work by women in the theater. Beginning in October, WP Theater's season will include new work by Cori Thomas (My Secret Language of Wishes), directed by Daniella Topol (Charles Ives take Me Home, Row After Row); Kate Benson (Lee Miller), directed by Lee Sunday Evans (The Play About My Dad); Tanya Barfield (The Call, Blue Door), directed by Leigh Silverman (Violet--Tony Nominee, Chinglish, Well), and Laura Eason (Sex With Strangers, "House of Cards"), directed by Kirsten Kelly (Slipping).

Due to early ticket demand, Court Theatre and American Blues Theater announce an extension to the world premiere of American Blues Ensemble Member Nambi E. Kelley's new adaptation of Richard Wright's classic novel, Native Son, directed by Seret Scott. Native Son will now run September 11 - October 19, 2014 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue.

The Fifth Annual United Solo Theatre Festival presents the World Premiere of Baba, written and performed by Alex Mahgoub at Theatre Row Studio Theatre. After the first performance on October 1st sold-out, a second show was added on Wednesday, October 8th. Armando Merlo, who won a FringeNYC Solo Show Excellence Award in 2012 for his solo show, Salamander Starts Over, directs.

California Stage will revive Rick Foster's smash-hit show Love, Isadora September 20th-October 12th, 2014. Professional actress Lori Russo reprises her Elly Award-winning turn as Isadora Duncan, the mother of modern dance, with Janis Stevens' inspired direction.

Athena Theatre Project and Theatre Off Jackson present THE BUNNER SISTERS from the novella by Edith Wharton adapted and directed by Julie Beckman, today, September 18-October 5.

The Wilbury Theatre Group opens Season 5 with the New England premiere of This Beautiful City, written by Steven Cosson and Jim Lewis, with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman. Wilbury Group Founding Artistic Director Josh Short directs with music direction by the team of Brien Lang and Milly Romanzi, this fascinating a new documentary-style play with music that details the explosion of America's evangelical Christian movement. This Beautiful City runs tonight, September 18 through October 12 at The Wilbury Theatre Group, 393 Broad Street, Providence RI.
