The new American play ECLIPSED by Danai Gurira, starring Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o, officially opens tonight, March 6th, 2016 on Broadway at the Golden Theatre (252 W. 45th Street). Last night, March 3, 2016, dance music icon, Tiësto, was awarded the Edison Pop Oeuvre Lifetime Achievement Award on a special broadcast of RTL Late Night. Presented since 1960, the annual Dutch prize is one of the oldest music awards in the world and celebrates outstanding achievements within the industry.

? Direct from London's West End, DANCING IN THE STREETS, the original hit stage production celebrating Motown's Greatest Hits, makes its North American debut with a nation-wide tour scheduled to stop at the Palace Theater in Waterbury, Conn. for one night only on Saturday, April 2 at 8 p.m.

Today, we introduce you to four cast members from In The Heights - Lipscomb University's Bekah Purifoy, Belmont University's Chris D. Lee and Arik Vega, and one of the newest members of the Nashville theater community, Ashley Wolfe. Purifoy is a 2015 First Night Most Promising Actor, while Lee and Vega are members of the 2016 Class. Wolfe electrified the audience with her performance at Midwinter's First Night in January.

The Apollo Theater in partnership with World Music Institute presents what has become an annual highlight, AFRICA NOW!. The celebrated event returns to the historic Apollo Theater (253 West 125th Street) on Saturday, March 26, at 8:00 p.m. for its fourth year spotlighting emerging and established artists of today's African music scene. 

Motown the Musical rocked into Overture Center in Madison on Tuesday night with an abundance of talent and energy delivering the memorable Hitsville, USA classics. This Berry Gordy biopic covers his life as a young boy striving for more, to a man borrowing money from his family to build a recording empire that changed history. The production culminates with the twenty-fifth anniversary celebration of Motown.

Due to popular demand, The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and Hidden Beach Experiences announce the addition of a second free Unwrapped Live! concert, taking place on Saturday, March 12 at 10:30 p.m. in the Walt Disney Theater. The first concert of the night remains at 7:30 p.m at the venue in Downtown Orlando. Both performances will be broadcast live on the Dr. Phillips Center lawn. Guests arriving after the Walt Disney Theater capacity is reached for each show are invited to watch these live outdoor broadcasts.

The West End production of Motown the Musical is now in previews at the Shaftesbury Theatre, with press night on 8 March 2016. With music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and book by Motown founder Berry Gordy, Motown the Musical is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright.   The show recently released a further 200,000 tickets for sale taking bookings to 18 February 2017. Broadway Sessions is known for bringing audiences up close and personal with Broadway's best. This last Thursday night, however, Broadway Sessions opened it's door and it's microphone to up and coming performers with a song in their heart. And HOLY COW do these folks have voices!

Bruce Hampton & Aquarium Rescue Unit, The Lee Boys) on piano.

ECLIPSED marks a historic moment on Broadway: the first time the cast, director, and playwright are composed entirely of female artists, fitting for a production that so stunningly chronicles the experiences of a group of very resilient women.
