Some of the best music plays when the credits roll and it's playing at Carnegie Hall tonight.

The Minnesota Orchestra today announced plans for the 2016-17 seasons of three widely varied series: Live at Orchestra Hall, Holiday Concerts, and Jazz in the Target Atrium. Live at Orchestra Hall, a series of popular music, jazz, Broadway classics, movie scores, world music and other genres, is led by Sarah Hicks, principal conductor of Live at Orchestra Hall. She conducts many of the series' concerts, including the Minnesota Orchestra debut of Twin Cities rapper-vocalist Dessa, R&B group Boyz II Men, and screenings of the films Ratatouille and Star Trek (2009), with scores performed live. Assistant Conductor Roderick Cox conducts several programs during the 2016-17 season, including two specially-designed matinee family concerts for audience members of all ages.

Earlier this month, The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, continued its 33rd season at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with 42nd on 57th: Broadway Today. Tony, Emmy and two-time Golden Globe-nominee Matthew Morrison will join the Houston Symphony in a spectacular performance of Broadway hits and crooner classics at 8 p.m. March 24-26.

Tonight March 11th at 8:00PM, The New York Pops will continue it's 33rd season at Carnegie Hall.  Music Director Steven Reineke was in rehearsal this afternoon and BroadwayWorld was there.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced programming for the 2016–2017 season for the Center, the National Symphony Orchestra, and Washington National Opera. Under President Deborah F. The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) brings avant-garde, contemporary music to Toronto this March. Revered Australian composer, conductor, and violist Brett Dean joins festival conductor and host Peter Oundjian to curate the TSO's 12th annual New Creations Festival, taking place today, March 5, through March 12, 2016.

One thing I can always count on when I go to a National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) Pops concert featuring music of the Great White Way - and perhaps beyond - is that the accomplished musicians and their exceptional conductor Steven Reineke will give it all the energy, vigor and verve it deserves. On April 8, 2016, at 8:00PM, The New York Pops will take center stage at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage in The Music of John Williams: From Spielberg to Star Wars. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke will lead the orchestra in a celebration of the work of legendary film composer John Williams, with a strong focus on his collaborations with Academy Award-winning director Steven Spielberg. The orchestra will breathe life into some of cinema's most iconic scores, including selections from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Jurassic Park. The concert will also include a look at Williams' seminal scoring of the Star Wars films, from their beginnings in the 1970s to today's  The Force Awakens.
