Today Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced that Ana Reeder, who won an Obie Award for her role in Small Tragedy at Playwrights Horizons, will star in the World Premiere of Courtney Baron's When It's You, directed by Mr. Silverstein.

Steven Kemp, set designer for Opera San Jose's upcoming production of Silent Night, has been named a finalist at the World Stage Design 2017 in Taipei for his work on Opera San Jose's Falstaff during the company's 2013-14 season.

The soldiers, bloodied from battle and mourning their dead, soon become brothers as a carol begins, floating softly over no man's land to celebrate Christmas.

American Modern Ensemble, the critically-acclaimed new music group praised by The New York Times as "simply first-rate," opens its 2016-17 season joined by the harp duo Duo Scorpio at The Cell in Chelsea on Friday, November 18: a concert of harp-centric music ranging from a 1949 piece by the maverick Lou Harrison to three works written in the past five years by two young leading-edge composers, Robert Paterson and Andy Akiho. The concert is AME's annual fundraising event, featuring an open bar and hors d'oeuvres.

Opera San Jose opens its 2016-17 season with Gaetano Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor. Donizetti drew inspiration for this opera from Sir Walter Scott's The Bride of Lammermoor. The story revolves around a feud between two families, the Ashtons and the Ravenswoods. Lucia Ashton loves Edgar, master of Ravenswood, whose land her family has taken by force. When Lucia's brother, out of political necessity, forces her into an arranged marriage, there are dire consequences. Donizetti expertly combines the epic story of Lucia with some of the most wonderful melodies from his pen and the most affecting mad scene in theatre.

Bucks County Playhouse premieres the new musical, A TASTE OF THINGS TO COME. Bucks County Playhouse Artistic Associate Lauren Lotarro, also choreographer for Sarah Bareilles' upcoming Broadway musical WAITRESS, will direct and choreograph 'TASTE', the saucy new musical with book, music and lyrics by Debra Barsha and Hollye Levin. The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company presents the first New York revival of John & Jen, the musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and a book by Greenwald and Lippa.
