The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company presents the first New York revival of John & Jen, the musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and a book by Greenwald and Lippa. The show officially opens tonight, February 26th at The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues).

This sparkling and fast-paced opera weaves a madcap story full of twists and turns into a comic adventure to a land of magnificent palaces, swashbuckling pirates and lavish harems. The Italian Girl in Algiers will be sung in Italian with English supertitles. Six performances are scheduled from November 15 through 30 at the California Theatre, 345 South First Street in downtown San José.

Opera San Jose to Open 31st Season with RIGOLETTO, 9/6-21

Opera San Jose opens its 31st season with Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto. This tale of innocence lost and vengeance gone tragically awry will be conducted by Joseph Marcheso, with stage direction by Brad Dalton. Rigoletto will be sung in Italian with English supertitles. Six performances are scheduled from September 6 through 21 at the California Theatre, 345 South First Street in downtown San Jose. Tickets are on sale at the Opera San Jose Box Office, online at operasj.org or by phone at (408) 437-4450. The production of Rigoletto is made possible, in part, by a Cultural Affairs Grant from the City of San Jose.

Murray Abraham, Keen's I Never Sang for My Father).

HOUSEGUEST is de novo's inaugural production: a mixed dance performance incorporating butoh and belly dance with live music and original composed music. It explores the tension between quotidian existence and other realities seen and unseen, invited and uninvited, real and imagined and explores themes of hibernation, transformation and awakening. It is about deep longing from below and the struggle to stay alive in hibernating sleep. We investigate these themes using a multi-layered, mixed-media approach.

Keen Company Announces the Cast for A.R. Gurney's THE OLD BOY
