Photo Coverage: Inside Opening Night of CRAVING FOR TRAVEL

The world premiere of Greg Edwards & Andy Sandberg's new comedy, Craving for Travel will run Off-Broadway through February 9, 2014 at the Peter J. Sharp Theater (416 W. 42nd Street, NYC). Directed by Sandberg (Shida, The Last Smoker in America), a Tony Award-winner as a producer of Hair, the cast features Michele Ragusa (Young Frankenstein, Disaster!) and Thom Sesma (The Lion King, The Times They Are A-Changin') collectively playing thirty characters-chiefly, Joanne and Gary, rival travel agents (and former spouses) vying for their industry's most prestigious honor: the Globel Prize. Craving for Travel is commissioned and produced by Jim Strong, one of America's leading luxury travel agents. The show opened last night and you can check out photos fom the big event below!

The Episcopal Actors' Guild Welcomes ANNIE Lyricist Martin Charnin to Guild Hall Tonight

Over the weekend, Richard Skipper kicked off a yearlong celebration of the 50th anniversary of HELLO, DOLLY! with members of the original Broadway cast! In attendence for the special reunion were Nicole Barth (Original cast), Paul Berne (dancer, Original Company), Carleton Carpenter and Johnny Beecher (Sheridan (Cornelius Hackl and Barnaby Tucker: Mary Martin International Company), Wayne Clark (first National Company with Carol Channing), John Anthony Gilvey, David Hartman (Rudolph and Stage Manager: Original Company), Charles Karel (Original cast), Jan LaPrad (Original Company dancer), Joan 'Buttons' Leonard (original company), Bob Lydiard (Cornelius Hackl, Carol's first Broadway Revival), Lee Roy Reams (Cornelius Hackl 1977 tour and Broadway Revival, director 1996 Broadway tour and Revival),Megan Thomas (Carol's last tour), Andrea Bell (started with Carol Channing, as Ermengarde at the age of seventeen, in Carol's FIRST national tour as well as other productions.) Following a triumphant 2013 run, Sam Harris returns to 54 Below for four shows only (now through January 18, 2014), this time celebrating the release of his brand new book, HAM: Slices of a Life (Gallery Books/Simon & Schuster). This show of the same title is what Sam calls a 'liter-usical': a hybrid theatrical show featuring excerpts from the book, artfully interspersed with songs from his classic repertoire Harris is a multi-million selling recording artist and has starred on Broadway, on television and in concert for nearly three decades. Hard Times the new Stephen Foster musical served up an Irish Wake in honor of the show's opening Off Broadway on January 13th---the 150th Anniversary of Foster's death. PIERRE DE LA ROCHE , the acclaimed French performer, made his American concert debut with his show "Salut Charles!" - honoring the iconic entertainer Charles Aznavour- at Don't Tell Mama in three very special shows January 9, 10 and 11 in 2014. According to Radio France International, De La Roche is "an artist who stirs the emotions of the audience and has mastered the repertoire he tackles in 'Salut Charles!'" After the program's debut in the former silent movie theater in Berlin Delphi, the show has toured extensively in Germany and France. The evening features songs performed in French, English and German, including the hits Aznavour wrote like "Yesterday, When I Was Young." "You've Let Yourself Go" and "What Makes A Man a Man," in addition to classics he performs such as "La Mer (Beyond the Sea)" "Padam" and Lili Marleen." Mark Hartman serves as Music Director.

Salonga, Harris and Zamora to Lead Benefit Concert in Manila, Jan 29-30

On January 29 & 30, the creators of the international musical sensations LES MISERABLES and Miss Saigon will present a special concert celebrating their work at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre in Manila to raise funds to offer humanitarian relief and assist the rebuilding efforts after parts of the Philippines were left devastated in the wake of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).

She has recorded five albums for the LML Music label, including her latest, "It's a Good Day," winner of the 2013 Lamott/Friedman Award and voted one of the Top Ten Recordings of 2012 by Talkin'Broadway. Stacy can also be heard regularly on Sirius Radio's "Siriously SINATRA," and NPR's "Piano Jazz Rising Stars."
