Urban Stages Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director and producer Peter Napolitano, announced the final week of the World Premiere engagement of Character Man. Jim Brochu's new musical memoir at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street). This limited run will continue through April 6th only. Robert Bartley directs, with musical direction by Carl Haan. The Final Post-Show Talk will take place on Wednesday, April 2nd with Special Guest Karen Mason (Mamma Mia, Sunset Boulevard, Hairspray), moderated by Peter Filichia.

Faust meets Baseball in the FRINGE PREMIERE of the classic Broadway musical. As middle-aged baseball fan Joe Boyd trades his soul to the Devil in order to help his favourite baseball team beat the New York Yankees, hell literally breaks loose. Transformed into baseball sensation Joe Hardy, he takes the Washington Senators to new heights whilst discovering the true worth of the life he was so quick to leave behind.

The Stephen Sondheim landmark stage musical 'FOLLIES' premieres Friday evening April 18thand plays through Sunday matinee May 4th at The Barn Players, 6219 Martway in Mission. Artistic Director Vincent J. Cardinal is pleased to announce Connecticut Repertory Theatre's (CRT) 2014 Nutmeg Summer Series. The three show season celebrates life backstage and behind the curtain. Two award winning musicals; A Chorus Line and Gypsy are matched with Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys, a comedy starring Jerry Adler (The Good Wife) and Richard Kline (Three's Company). The Nutmeg Summer Series runs June 5 through July 20, 2014 in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre on the University of Connecticut-Storrs campus. Subscriptions to all three productions are now on sale. Single tickets will go on sale April 15, 2014.

The New York Philharmonic will return to Bravo! Vail in Colorado for the Orchestra's 12th- annual summer residency there, performing six concerts July 18-25, 2014. Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct three programs, July 18-20, featuring works by composers for whom he has advocated during his tenure, ranging from Nielsen to The Marie-Jose?e Kravis Composer-in- Residence Christopher Rouse. The other Philharmonic concerts will be conducted by Bramwell Tovey (July 23 and 25) and Ted Sperling (July 24), and will feature works by Copland, Gershwin, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Loesser, among others.

Playwrights Horizons presents the World Premiere production of YOUR MOTHER'S COPY OF THE KAMA SUTRA, a new play by Kirk Lynn (Co-Artistic Director, Austin's Rude Mechanicals), directed by Obie Award winner Anne Kauffman (Detroit, Maple and Vine at PH; Belleville; This Wide Night; The Thugs), which begins previews this weekend.

Neil Patrick Harris will return to Broadway in the new production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the musical with book by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, directed by Michael Mayer. The limited engagement, featuring Lena Hall (Kinky Boots, lead singer of The Deafening), will begin previews tomorrow, Saturday, March 29 for a Tuesday, April 22 opening night at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street). Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC) has announced that its second full season in their new state-of-the-art theatre located at 1245 Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick, will open with Lerner and Loewe's stunning Broadway classic, My Fair Lady.

Officials at Timberlane Regional High School have cancelled a scheduled production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, saying the script and content matter are too controversial.

The cast and creative team of the hit Off-Broadway musical Murder for Two are teaming up with some of New York's brightest up and coming composers and BroadwayWorld.com every Monday night for their spring concert series, Murderous Musical Mondays. Composers Brett Ryback and Alexander Sage Oyen contine the series on Monday, April 7, 2014, immediately following the 7pm performance of Murder for Two at New World Stages (Stage 5 - 340 West 50th Street).

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that PS Classics will record the cast album of VIOLET on April 7, 2014. This Original Broadway Cast Recording, a two-disc set, will be released on June 3. The production is currently playing at the American Airlines Theatre through August 10, 2014.
