Beginning today, Jackie Burns and Chandra Lee Schwartz will assume the roles of Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, in the Broadway cast of Wicked. Ms. Burns and Ms. Schwartz come to Broadway directly from Wicked's First National Tour. The Broadway company currently features Richard H. Blake as Fiyero, Kathy Fitzgerald as Madame Morrible, Tom McGowan as The Wizard, Etai BenShlomo as Boq, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, and Tom Flynn as Dr. Dillamond.

Directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli (South Pacific), GODSPELL begins preview performances at Circle in the Square Theatre on Thursday, October 13, 2011. Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts Theaterfest is pleased to present the American Premiere of My Fairytale, a musical about Hans Christian Andersen. According to the New York Times, an upcoming Menier Chocolate Factory production of Stephen Schwartz's PIPPIN could be headed to the Great White Way in the near future. Schwartz, who wrote the music and lyrics for the show, has chosen to 'pursue' this West End revival first, instead of the Diane Paulus-helmed production, which was aiming for a Broadway run in 2012-13.

London's Union Theatre is set to revive The Baker's Wife, which will begin performances Sept. 21, and open Sept. 23. The production will be directed by Michael Strassen and feature Lisa Stokke as Geneviève.

According to Ken Davenport, lead producer for the upcoming revival of GODSPELL, a cast recording will be made for the new production.
