Eric Rosen, artistic director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of the new musical A Little More Alive - which will begin previews April 11 and runs through May 11 on the Rep's Copaken Stage.

Pioneer Theatre Company presents the second installment in its new play reading series, called Play-By-Play: A Public Education by Jeff Talbott on March 14 and 15, 2014. Guest artist Shana Gold directs the production.

The Public Theater (Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director; Patrick Willingham, Executive Director) is proud to announce that the acclaimed THE APPLE FAMILY PLAYS: SCENES FROM LIFE IN THE COUNTRY, written and directed by Richard Nelson, will be recorded for television by THIRTEEN Productions LLC for WNET the week of December 16, following the end of the epic run at The Public Theater on Sunday, December 15. All four plays will be captured for posterity and broadcast at a future date. Fans of THE APPLE FAMILY PLAYS can attend a taping of one or all four of the plays by visiting www.publictheater.org.

What started as a disposable play has concluded as one of the great American theatre experiences of this young century.

Actress Laila Robins has seen Broadway, the big screen and the small screen. But lately she has poured her soul onto the off-Broadway stage and into her character 'Marian Apple Platt', a role she originated in 2010 as part of The Apple Family Plays: Scenes from Life in the Country. BroadwayWorld recently spoke with Robins about the challenges and joys of revisiting 'Marian' afresh and being part of the fictional, liberal Apple family of Rhinebeck, New York, whose actors have become like a family of their own.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre presents Natural Affection by William Inge, the first production of the company's 21st Season. Directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, performances begin at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. It will open on Friday, November 22, 2013 - the 50th Anniversary of JFK's assassination that shocked the world. The world premiere of the fourth and final play in this powerful and timely series will feature Maryann Plunkett (Barbara), Jay O. Sanders (Richard), Laila Robins (Marian), Jon Devries (Benjamin), Stephen Kunken (Tim), and Sally Murphy (Jane).

Dorset Theatre Festival is thrilled to present Neil Simon's classic romantic comedy Barefoot in the Park as the third show in their summer season. 'This is a great comedy for our community. The production will be directed by DTF resident director Jenn Thompson, co-Artistic Director of The Actors Company Theatre in NYC, and a local favorite for her past DTF productions, Noises Off and Boeing-Boeing.
