Beginning this fall, ENCORE will present 'The Big Miniseries Showcase,' a mix of classic and new critically acclaimed miniseries on Monday nights at 8pm ET/PT. The slate will debut with the U.S. television premiere of the ENCORE Original miniseries, 'The Crimson Petal and the White.' The BAFTA nominated two-part drama will premiere on Monday, September 10 and Tuesday, September 11 at 8pm ET/PT.

According to the LA Times, Warner Bros. Studios is currently looking into the possibility of a prequel to THE SHINING, the 1980 horror film from director Stanley Kubrick. The thriller is considered by many to be the scariest movie of all time.

Ira Levin's classic comedy thriller Deathtrap is set to return to the Davidson/Valenti Theatre for six weeks only, opening on Friday, September 21 and running through Sunday, October 28. Directed by Ken Sawyer, Deathtrap recently enjoyed a ten week sold out run at the Davidson/Valenti Theatre, located at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center in Hollywood. Net proceeds will benefit the entire array of the Center's free and low-cost programs and services.

Dorian Missick (Southland, The Cape) and Kate Kelton (Harold and Kumar, American Psycho 2) will join the cast of Syfy's popular series Haven in recurring roles when the show returns for its third season beginning Friday, September 21 at 10PM (ET/PT). Kelton portrays the spirited and fierce 'Jordan McKee.' She's a waitress at 'The Gun & Rose Diner,' and also an influential member of a mysterious organization of 'troubled' people whose identity is known by the distinctive tattoo marking its members.

The legendary stage musical CARRIE will soon be available for licensing from R&H Theatricals, and its score will be published by Imagem Music, each a division of the Imagem Music Group. Based on Stephen King's best-selling novel, CARRIE features music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore (Fame, Terms of Endearment), lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford (Fame, Footloose), and a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic film).
