From September 14 through October 13, 2012, SpeakEasy Stage Company will present the Boston premiere of the recent Broadway hit comedy THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT by Stephen Adly Guirgis.

Susannah Berryman and Jesse Bush Lead Hangar Theatre's THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, 9/7-15

The fifth production of the 2012 Hangar season is a true American classic, Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful. This intensely moving and riveting story of acceptance and coming home again will be directed by the Hangar's Associate Artistic Director Stephanie Yankwitt (Hangar's Rounding Third) and features a cast of local favorites including Susannah Berryman (Hangar's Penelope of Ithaca, The Chalk Circle, Cabaret, and The Rainmaker) and Jesse Bush (Hangar's Ever So Humble, Disney's Beauty and the Beast). The Trip to Bountiful will preview September 6, and run September 7 through September 15th.

A new season three trailer of HBO's BOARDWALK EMPIRE has been revealed by the cable network. The trailer focusus on new series regular Bobby Cannavale who will portray gangster Gyp Rosetti. According to series character 'Nucky', 'Gyp Rosetti is trouble for everyone - that makes him bad for business.' Check out the trailer below!

R.A.W. Readings Series and More Highlight LabRats Theatre's 2012-13 Season

The LabRats Theater Company presents its 2012-2013 Season. The third full season begins October 6th with the R.A.W. Reading Series and the presentation of Lindsay Joy-Murphy's Rise, Fall, directed by Padraic Lillis and continues October 20th with Lawrence Dial's Carroll Gardens, directed by Tyne Rafaeli, from this series the company will choose LabRats' full production, which will be presented February 28th-March 17th at The Access Theatre Gallery Space in Lower Manhattan. The season concludes May 25th, with Experiment Sessions, a free day of works in progress.

VS. Theatre Company Finds Permanent Home at LA's Former Black Dahlia Theatre

Curtain goes up Thursday night, August 23, on the regional premiere of Stephen Adly Guirgis' The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, directed by George W. Manus Jr. for Murfreesboro's Out Front on Main. Guirgis' 2005 play uses flashbacks to an imagined childhood and lawyers who call for the testimonies of such witnesses as Mother Teresa, Caiaphas, Saint Monica, Sigmund Freud, Pontius Pilate and Satan.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company Artistic Director Martha Lavey announced today additional casting for the 2012/13 Subscription and Steppenwolf for Young Adults seasons. Will Allan, Keith Kupferer and Lusia Strus join previously announced ensemble members Alana Arenas, Mariann Mayberry and Molly Regan, completing the cast of the season opener, Good People. The cast of the Steppenwolf for Young Adults production of The Book Thief features ensemble member Francis Guinan with Patrick Andrews, Amy J. Carle, Rob Fagin, Rae Gray, Dennis William Grimes, Nikki Klix, Ian Knox, Anthony-Jon LeSage, Clancy McCartney, Andy Monson, Mark Ulrich and Nicole Wiesner. Other additions to the 2012/13 slate include Sandra Delgado, Sandra Marquez, John Ortiz and Gary Perez in The Motherf**ker with the Hat, and Cheryl Lynn Bruce, Glenn Davis and Jacqueline Williams in Head of Passes. Edward Torres has also signed on to direct the Steppenwolf for Young Adults production of How Long Will I Cry?: Voices of Youth Violence (previously titled Oral Histories) with Artistic Consultant Kelli Simpkins.

These questions and more are posed in the riveting second offering from fledgling theater company Azeotrope with their production of "Jesus Hopped the A Train" currently running at ACT. A heavy play to be sure but deftly delivered from a company that is quickly becoming one to watch.
