After introducing American audiences to red-hot British indie playwright Ross Howard in 2014, New Light Theater Project (Strange Country, In the Soundless Awe) will present THE ROSS HOWARD FESTIVAL. 

Horton Foote's The Roads To Home opened last night at the Cherry Lane Theatre and Broadwayworld was there for the festivities.  The Roads To Home is a Primary Stages production in association with Catherine Adler and Jamie deRoy. It's run has been extended throughSunday, November 27, 2016.

Drama Desk nominee Jonathan Rockefeller debuts a brand new tribute show entitled That Golden Girls Show! - A Puppet Parody that will have its world premiere in NYC. This limited run began performances on September 19 and will open on Monday, October 3, running through December 11, 2016 at DR2 Theatre (103 East 15th Street).

Tonight, September 27, 2016 Golden Girls Scholar and author of Golden Girls Forever: An Unauthorized Look Behind The Lanai, Jim Colucci, will give a post-show talk-back immediately following the performances of That Golden Girls Show! - A Puppet Parody, created by Drama Desk Nominee Jonathan Rockefeller, currently playing at Union Square's DR2 Theatre (103 E 15 Street).

Penguin Rep Theatre, the award-winning theatre in Stony Point, New York, under the leadership of Artistic Director Joe Brancato and Executive Director Andrew M. Horn, closes its 2016 season with the New York premiere of Daniel's Husband by Michael McKeever from September 23 through October 16, 2016. The winners of the eighth annual NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATRE AWARDS (NHSMTA)/JIMMY AWARDS were determined and announced just last week, at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. This one-of-a-kind-event was hosted by Tony Award®-nominee Zachary Levi, currently starring on Broadway in Roundabout Theatre Company's She Loves Me at Studio 54.

The new musical Lisa and Leonardo will be presented at this year's New York Musical Festival. With music by Donya Lane, lyrics by Ed McNamee and book by Donna Lane, Ed McNamee & Michael Unger. Lisa and Leonardo will be directed by Michelle Tattenbaum with musical direction by Robert Frost and choreography by Jonathan Cerullo. The show will begin July 21 and running through July 28 at the Duke on 42nd Street, a NEW 42ND STREET project (229 W 42nd Street).
