FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will continue its Spring 2012 season with the return engagement of award winning vocalist, SHEERA BEN-DAVID.

Theater producer Daryl Roth, who produced last season's Tony Award-winning revival of The Normal Heart and has presented an unprecedented seven Pulitzer Prize-winning plays on the stage, is set to receive two prestigious honors next month. The Family Equality Council will present Roth with the Hostetter-Habib Family Award for her continued support of the LGBT community. The presentation will take place at the organizations Night at the Pier event on May 8. Later in the month, at its Stella by Starlight Gala on May 20, the Stella Adler Studio of Acting will present Roth with The Harold Clurman Spirit Award "for courageous contribution to the culture of the city of New York and beyond." Her fellow honorees at the Stella by Starlight Gala include Harry Belafonte, James Earl Jones, Ed Schultz, and Masa Tanaka.

Bay Street Theatre is celebrating its 21st season and has announced the 2012 Mainstage productions.

Vital Theatre Company, Linda Ames Key, Education Director and BROOKLYN THEATRE ARTS HIGH SCHOOL, Amy Murphy, Principal-partners in one of six small schools in the South Shore Educational Complex located in Canarsie, Brooklyn-are pleased to announce that Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will cut the ribbon for the newly renovated South Shore Auditorium on Wednesday, May 2nd at 9:00 am. The ribbon cutting will be followed by a proclamation for the inaugural production, 'Footloose' and a performance of the show at 10:00 am. The South Shore Educational Complex is located at 6565 Flatlands Avenue, Brooklyn and is the largest high school auditorium in New York City.

The Seafarer, by Conor McPherson and directed by Gregory Boyd, begins previews Friday April 6, opens Wednesday April 11 and runs through Sunday, April 29, 2012 on the Hubbard Stage. The songbook of Grammy Award winners David Hidalgo sand Louie Perez of Los Lobos drives Evangeline, the Queen of Make-Believe, a multimedia play with music by Theresa Chavez, Louie Perez and Rose Portillo that takes its title from the group's 1985 rocker "Evangeline." Chavez and Portillo co-direct the world premiere production for About Productions, opening at the Bootleg Theater on May 12 for a limited, three-week engagement through May 27. Low-priced previews take place May 3-11.

The Martin E. The Stella Adler Studio of Acting today announced a limited New York run of Clifford Odets' Waiting for Lefty, directed by Don K. Williams. Odets' play tackles the subject of income equality in a series of related vignettes framed by the meeting of taxi drivers planning a labor strike in the 1930's.

Renowned Japanese filmmaker Toshi Shioya is in New York this week to meet with teachers from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and discuss their new partnership with The Actors Clinic, a prominent acting school in Tokyo led by Shioya.

A new play about the medical staff that risked their lives following the March 11, 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster will premiere in New York for a special performance on the one-year anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Japan. The following day the actors will perform the play, Hikobae, at the United Nations with the Mayor of Soma City, Hidekiyo Tachiya, in attendance
