Towne Street Theatre presents 1969, a new drama by Barbara White Morgan. The world premiere engagement opens Friday, October 10, 2014 and continues through Sunday, November 2, 2014. All performances are at the Stella Adler Theatre, 6773 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90028. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 4:00 PM.

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Dracula, the Original Vampire Play, the second production in the 'Alley Theatre @ UH' season. Featuring iconic costume and set designs by Edward Gorey, the Alley's production is based on the original 1927 adaptation of the classic thriller that marvelously balances the menace of the horror tale with sophisticated satire.

'Not Afraid' by Nora Sorena Casey is a dark comedy about Bets, a young woman who is obsessed with her death metal blog. When she gets a death threat, it catalyzes a series of disturbing encounters for both her and her housemate and best friend, Hunter, a callous law student. The two women argue about heavy metal, the U.S.S.R. and taco night -- and try not to die. The play is at once funny, sad and devastating. PowerOut presents the work's world premiere October 19 to November 4 at Under St. Marks, 94 St. Marks Place. Ben Ferber directs.

WAM Theatre has announced the cast for a reading of Waxworks by Trina Davies, the final reading in the Fresh Takes Play Reading Series. An exploration of the tales we are told and the heroes and villains we create, Waxworks tells the story of Madame Tussaud, an extraordinary artist who developed the first worldwide entertainment brand. WAM Theatre will present the reading on Sunday, September 21 at 3:00 p.m. at No. Six Depot Roastery and Cafe, 6 Depot Street in West Stockbridge, MA. Waxworks is the fifth and final presentation in the new Fresh Takes play reading series, which offers new and reimagined works that tell women's stories. Known for his smooth voice and outgoing charm, Charles is a desert favorite and is regularly featured in productions, benefits, and shows throughout the desert. When recently asked by Les Michaels to fill in for one of the acts at his popular Sundays in Summer Series, Charles first response was to do all of his fans most requested until Les said he only gets one hour! So he enlisted the talents of musical director Tim Bruneau to join him on the baby grand along with cellist Teresa Di Pietro and narrowed it down to about 15 songs.
