Matthew Cox's 3-Part Epic, Geek Comedy Kapow-i GoGo will premiere at The Peoples Improv Theater (The PIT) February 16th through March 10th.

Firehouse Theatre presents the world premiere of the winner of the 2013 Festival of New American Plays, This World We Know by award-winning playwright Kelly Younger. Proud participant of Richmond's annual Acts of Faith Festival, This World We Know plays 16 performances, tonight, February 5 - March 7, 2015. Opening Night is Friday, February 6.

PLAYHOUSE CREATURES THEATRE has announced that it will present HUNTER GATHERERS, a black comedy about an annual dinner party that blurs the line between civilized and primal man, March 3 - March 28 at the Duo Theatre, 62 East 4th St. 2nd floor. Written by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb and directed by Eric Tucker (Wall Street Journal's 2014 Director of the year), The production will have its official opening on Saturday, March 7th at 8:00PM.

Elia Schneider, formerly of Venezuela, is known for hauntingly visual productions which transcend language with strong imagery and a dreamlike fresco of movement and design. In 'Judgment on a Gray Beach,' her newest work, themes of exile and totalitarianism are explored by a condemned man--he knows not for what--on a beach populated with ten sheepish antiheroes who agree to obey absurd laws and nonsensical orders. Will he escape or return for punishment? La MaMa E.T.C., her theatrical home in New York, will present the work's world premiere March 6 to 15 in its Ellen Stewart Theater, 66 East 4th Street.

FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade will present Battalion Theatre's production of The Tutors by Erica Lipez, March 12-28 at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery) with performances Thursday through Saturday at 7:30pm.

Company of Fools (COF), a partner of the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, has received a generous gift from estate of the late Walt Witcover. Witcover, a theatre professional for more than 50 years, was a mentor to COF and important friend of the organization. He passed away in 2013.

The Whipping Man by Matthew Lopez opens tonight, January 23, 2015 at George Street Playhouse. The production runs through February 15, 2015 Directed by Seret Scott, the cast features Ron Canada, Luke Forbes and Adam Gerber.

The Harold Clurman Lab Theater, the professional wing of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting New York City and the Art of Acting Studio Los Angeles, is proud to announce its cast for the upcoming production of Lee Blessing's Great Falls; Jane Levy, alumnus of the studio, and former star of 'Suburgatory' on ABC will join Ovation-nominated actor Michael Keith Allen. The Blank Theatre's 23rd Annual Young Playwrights Festival is now seeking submissions nationwide from playwrights 19 years of age and younger. The submission deadline is March 16, 2015. Winning plays will be presented by professional actors and directors from June 4 - 28, 2015 at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood, CA.

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent. Below, BroadwayWorld sends a fond farewell to those who passed away in 2014.
