Rubicon Theatre Company is offering a special three-hour acting master class with guest instructor Conor Lovett of Gare St. Lazare Ireland on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Students 20 or older may make a reservation by visiting www.rubicontheatre.org or calling (805) 667-2900, ext. 234. Tuition is $50. Those who wish to audit may do so for $30. All participants should memorize a short contemporary monologue.

t, by creators Shenelle Williams, Spencer Williams and Whitney Rhodes, has extended its run at The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF). This will be the first time in the history of the festival that a reading will add an additional performance to its run. They will be performing a concert version of this new original musical tonight, July 18, 2014 at 9pm at Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036).

Betty Buckley's new album Ghostlight re-unites her with longtime friend and producer T Bone Burnett on the September 16 release by Palmetto Records. When Buckley and Burnett were both 19 years old, living in Fort Worth, TX, they began making music together. Buckley, who has been called 'The Voice of Broadway,' is one of theater's most respected and legendary leading ladies. Burnett's highly sought after involvement in music, film, TV and stage projects is marked by his uncanny ability to successfully combine his unique artistic sensibilities with massive commercial appeal.
