Broadway legend Joy Franz, who starred in the original and revival companies of Into the Woods on Broadway, is the final cast member to join Tim Realbuto's July 24th star-studded 54 Below show entitled Tim Realbuto: Alone (With Plenty of Help). Throughout the evening, each guest star will play a different person in Tim's life. Franz will play Tim's mother.

According to press notes, the show, conceived and written by Realbuto, is described as follows: Former child "star" and current NYC based award-winning writer and performer Tim Realbuto (Ghostlight; The Emperor's Club) returns to 54 Below in an all new show entitled Tim Realbuto: Alone (With Plenty of Help). In this deeply personal, poignant, and hilarious show Tim will tell the (mostly) true story of how he grew up in show business and went from former child actor to the adult writer of the popular new Broadway-Bound musical Ghostlight. Some of Tim's famous Broadway friends will help him along the way playing different characters from his past, the voices in his head, and sometimes (when things get too hard), even playing Tim himself. Expect an evening filled with plenty of well-known tunes, originals, celebrity prank calls, contests with gift giveaways, diva impressions, and special guest appearances from popular stars of stage and screen.

As previously reported, Realbuto's co-stars for his (not-so-solo) solo show include Tony Award winner BETH LEAVEL; DEREK KLENA; JENNA LEIGH GREEN; JASON GOTAY; Drama Desk nominee CHRISTINA BIANCO; NATASCIA DIAZ; LAURISSA ROMAIN; and KIMBERLY FAYE GREENBERG. Previously scheduled performers Alli Mauzey and Danielle Ferland both left the production due to scheduling conflicts.

Joy Franz is most known for originating lead roles in several of Sondheim's masterpieces including Into the Woods and A Little Night Music on Broadway and Company on the West End. Her numerous Broadway credits include the original Pippin; Guys and Dolls; Sweet Charity; Musical Chairs; Open Admissions; and the 2002 revival of Into the Woods, in which she played the same role she played in the original production. Her many television credits include "The Carrie Diaries"; "Central Park West"; "Horrible People"; "Law and Order"; "One Life To Live"; "As The World Turns"; and "Search For Tomorrow." Her screen credits include Under Red Lantern and No Picnic For Penny. Her countless Off-Broadway and Regional credits include: Other Desert Cities; Grey Gardens; 'night Mother; All My Sons; Mrs. Warren's Profession; Othello; Follies; and Driving Miss Daisy, to name a few.

Mr. Realbuto is an award-winning writer, most known for co-writing the Broadway bound musical Ghostlight alongside Matthew Martin. Ghostlight premiered at the Signature Theatre as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2011, co-directed by Realbuto. Realbuto and Martin have previously done two popular 54 Below concerts featuring their original music. Realbuto also served as co-director for five readings of Ghostlight over the past few years. As an actor, Tim appeared on the silver screen as Jackson Phieffer in The Emperor's Club starring opposite Academy Award Winner Kevin Kline, Emile Hirsch, and Jesse Eisenberg, for Universal Pictures. Other screen work includes "Ed"; "Law and Order: CI"; "The Sopranos"; Sex and the City: The Movie; Fighting; The First Seven Years (opposite Carol Kane); Woody Allen's Deconstructing Harry; and two seasons on Nickelodeon's "The Big Help." He has appeared on the New York stage in Hair; Romeo and Juliet; Finian's Rainbow; The Winter's Tale Project (Fringe NYC); Love's Labours Lost; and in the Off-Broadway premiere of White Widow, a new musical at the Times Square Arts Center. His screenplay The Hyde Club is currently in pre- production. He and his musical collaborator, Matthew Martin, are also at work writing a new show based on a popular film.

Tim Realbuto: Alone (With Plenty of Help) is scheduled for Thursday, July 24th at 9:30 PM. Tickets are priced from $25-$50 and are currently available at www.54Below.com. 54 Below is located at 254 West 54th Street in New York City. A portion of Tim's ticket sales are being donated to BC/EFA.
