ArtsWest is pleased to announce the launch of After Hours with Mathew Wright, its new summer cabaret series. Hosted by Artistic Director Mathew Wright, these one-night only events feature five of the fiercest leading ladies in Seattle theater, Sarah Rose Davis (7/20), Laura Griffith (8/10), Cayman Ilika (8/3), Jessica Skerritt (7/27), and Katherine Strohmaier (8/17). Each will dish on their lives and careers through provocative, freewheeling interviews and sing everything from Broadway standards to pop songs, backed by Mathew Wright on piano.

Geffen Playhouse has exciting news to announce. The critically acclaimed and popular production Bad Jews by Joshua Harmon and directed by Matt Shakman extends by one week through July 26.

The complete cast and creative team have been announced for The Old Globe's presentation of Kiss Me, Kate, the classic musical comedy featuring a book by Sam and Bella Spewack and an iconic score by Cole Porter.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) is pleased to announce the publication of Will Eno's The Realistic Joneses.

An ancient myth about blood and honor reveals the secret life of a Chinese theater troupe in the dark comedy 'Behind the Mask -- a Play' by Chinese authors Feng BaiMing and Huang WeiRuo, which is being newly adapted by Yangtze Repertory Theatre in a production helmed by Chinese-born director Chongren Fan. The play will be performed in Mandarin Chinese with English subtitles and will be completely accessible for English-speaking audiences. English translation is by Kristen Hung. This U.S. premiere will be presented by Yangtze Rep tonight, June 25 to July 12 at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue, East Village.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage the world premiere previews of A. R. Gurney's "Love & Money," a new comedy exploring the trials of class, family, legacy, and race, directed by Mark Lamos, from July 21 through August 8. A co-production with New York's Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre, it will officially open there in late August. 

Between Us Productions will present the World Premiere of Sander Gusinow's The Fairer Sex, directed by Samantha Lee Manas. It begins performances on July 27th and will celebrate its opening night on July 28 and run through August 2nd at Theatre Row Studio Theatre. Tickets are $18 and available at www.Telecharge.com. HARLEM SUMMER SHAKESPEARE, now in its 11th Season, is pleased to announce the world premiere production of SHAKESPEARE'S PRIMARY, written and directed by Alexa Kelly, at The Indoor Theatre, Riverbank State Park, 679 Riverside Drive (at 145th Street). Performances are FREE and begin Friday, July24 , 8 pm.and continue through Sunday, August 23.  

The Other Mirror is pleased to present a staged reading of BLIND CREST by Monet Hurst-Mendoza and directed by Katherine M. Carter, as part of the 6th Annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. The Festivity will take place June 15th through July 12th at the Paradise Factory (64 East 4th Street).

Theater with a View is bringing a production of Circle Mirror Transformation by Annie Baker to Pottstown, PA. The play will open Thursday, July 23 for an eight-performance run outdoors at Sycamore Hill, the home of Drs. Veronica Covalesky and Nick Leasure, at 481 Ebelhare Road. Directed by Seth Reich, the production features a cast of New York actors.

Bay Street Theater has announced that FIVE PRESIDENTS, the new play by Emmy Award-winning writer Rick Cleveland (Six Feet Under, The West Wing, and House of Cards), will extend its run for an additional week due to popular demand. The production will now run from tonight, June 23-July 19.

SUICIDE NOTES: In Their Own Words is a gripping one hour play that uses real suicide notes and performed by four actors in the vein of The Vagina Monologues and Love Letters. Stan Zimmerman, a TV and film veteran and award winning theatre writer/director, returns to Hollywood Fringe Festival for his three straight year. But this time, he departs from his usual comedy ventures to create this unique theatrical piece after loosing a close friend to suicide three years ago.

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announced the cast and creative team for The Foreigner, the last play in the "Alley Theatre @ UH" season. Alley Resident Company member Jeffrey Bean returns to one of his signature roles as Charlie Baker.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced casting today for Dreamgirls, the Tony Award-winning musical which opens Saturday, September 26 and runs from September 22 - November 1, 2015 in The Rep's Quadracci Powerhouse.

Signature Theatre has announced casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for the world premiere of John, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Annie Baker (The Flick) and directed by Tony Award winner Sam Gold (Fun Home).

Cuckold, a short play written by 'Smash' and Broadway actor Wesley Taylor, premieres this summer at the Manhattan Repertory Theater 2015 One Act Competition.

Today we are talking to two titanically talented triple-threats all about their headlining roles in the edgy and daring new production of the classic Kander & Ebb musical CABARET at the Signature Theatre in Washington, D.C., Wesley Taylor and Barrett Wilbert Weed. Outlining their first exposure to the material all the way to performing the showstopper roles of the Emcee and Sally Bowles, respectively, eight times a week, Taylor and Weed share their thoughts on the enduring legacy of the monumental musical masterpiece as well as offer their thoughts on what the piece has to say to a modern audience.
