Annie Baker's THE FLICK Extends Through January at Barrow Street

Annie Baker's 2014 Pulitzer Prize and Obie Award-winning drama, THE FLICK, which has been playing to packed houses since opening in May at the Barrow Street Theatre, has extended its run through Sunday, January 10, 2016.

AN ACT OF GOD Recoups Broadway Investment!

Producer Jeffrey Finn announced today that the new Broadway comedy An Act of God starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jim Parsons recouped its $2.9 million capitalization in just 10 weeks. The critically acclaimed play is the first Broadway production of the 2015-16 season to recoup its initial investment. The strictly limited engagement will play through Sunday, August 2 at Broadway's Studio 54 (254 West 54 Street).

Full Celebrity Lineup Announced for 17th Annual BROADWAY BARKS!

BROADWAY BARKS announces their 17th annual star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, this event features celebrities from the hottest shows on Broadway.  The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will take place on Saturday, July 11 in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:00 p.m. where you meet all the adoptable dogs and cats; celebrity presentations of adoptable pets will take place between 5:00-6:30 p.m. This year's event will be co-hosted by Bernadette Peters and Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon, HBO's 'Girls'). The event is free and open to the public.

Broadway & Hollywood's Best Help Raise More Than $500,000 at VOICES FOR THE VOICELESS Benefit

More than $500,000 was raised in support of older foster kids needing permanent families with the help of Broadway and Hollywood heavy-hitters last night at the St. James Theatre, including Tina Fey, Jane Krakowski, Darren Criss, Tituss Burgess, Megan Hilty, Caroline Rhea and many more. The inaugural event, hosted by Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley with BeachBody.com, supported youth in foster care through You Gotta Believe, New York's only nonprofit specifically focused on finding permanent families for youth in foster care aged 10 year and older, and the Council on Adoptable Children (COAC).

The Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI), the nation's oldest and largest LGBTQ youth service organization, is pleased to announce an ongoing partnership with Broadway's Hedwig and the Angry Inch for the New York City Pride Parade on Sunday, June 28, 2015. This partnership aims to celebrate LGBTQ youth and will feature actors Darren Criss and Rebecca Naomi Jones on the HMI parade float alongside HMI youth members who will walk during the parade.

Orlando Repertory Theatre Receives Shubert Foundation Grant

Orlando Repertory Theatre (The REP) has announced a $20,000 grant award from the Shubert Foundation. This grant is used for General Operating Support for the 2015-2016 season, and marks the fifth consecutive year it has been awarded to The REP. The Foundation provides grants only to organizations that have established artistic and administrative track records, as well as a pattern of fiscal responsibility.
