Some of Broadway's best and brightest talents will perform in a one-night-only salute to theater and film composer Stephen Schwartz at Westport Country Playhouse's 2010 Annual Gala on Monday, September 13.

Writers' Theatre Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma announce the final selection for company's 19th season, Travels With My Aunt by Graham Greene, adapted for the stage by Giles Havergal. The production will be directed by Associate Artistic Director Stuart Carden.

Westport Country Playhouse's popular Script in Hand Series will feature two autumn playreadings, Alan Ayckbourn's hilarious 'Bedroom Farce' on Monday, October 4, 7 p.m., and Noël Coward's bittersweet 'A Song at Twilight' on Monday, November 15, 7 p.m. Tickets to the one-night-only events are $15.

In conjunction with Westport Country Playhouse's upcoming production of 'I Do! I Do!,' the joyful and touching musical about marriage, the theater is hosting 'The Perfect Proposal Contest.' Participants are requested to write, in 300 words or less, how they were asked, or asked someone else, to say, 'I Do!' Photos are welcomed, but not required. Deadline for entries is Tuesday, August 10, noon.

Writers' Theatre opens its 2010-2011 Season with She Loves Me, by Joe Masteroff, Jerry Bock, and Sheldon Harnick. The production, directed by Artistic Director Michael Halberstam with musical direction by Ben Johnson, runs September 14 - November 21, 2010, at Writers' Theatre, 325 Tudor Court in Glencoe.
