The Writers' Theatre of Glencoe, Illinois has announced casting for its upcoming production of SHE LOVES ME. The production will feature Kevin Gudahl (Ladislay Sipos), Ross Lehman (Mr. Maraczek), Heidi Kettenring (Ilona Ritter), Rod Thomas (Georg Nowack), Jessie Mueller (Amalia Balash), Bernard Balbot (Arpad), James Rank (Stephen Kodaly), Stephanie Herman, Nicky Schuenke, Bethany Thomas, Andrew Goetten, and Jeremy Rill.

Westport Playhouse Hosts Perfect Proposal Contest for I DO! I DO!, Entries Due 8/10

In conjunction with Westport Country Playhouse's upcoming production of 'I Do! I Do!,' the joyful and touching musical about marriage, the theater is hosting 'The Perfect Proposal Contest.' Participants are requested to write, in 300 words or less, how they were asked, or asked someone else, to say, 'I Do!' Photos are welcomed, but not required. Deadline for entries is Tuesday, August 10, noon.

Writers' Theatre opens its 2010-2011 Season with She Loves Me, by Joe Masteroff, Jerry Bock, and Sheldon Harnick. The production, directed by Artistic Director Michael Halberstam with musical direction by Ben Johnson, runs September 14 - November 21, 2010, at Writers' Theatre, 325 Tudor Court in Glencoe.

Francine Prose to Present Author Talk on Anne Frank at Westport Country Playhouse, Sept. 19

Critically acclaimed novelist Francine Prose, writer of the recently published Anne Frank: The Book, The Life, The Afterlife, will present an author talk and book signing, on Sunday, September 19, 3 p.m., at Westport Country Playhouse. Prose will speak about her book, followed by an interview with David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director, and a Q&A with the audience.
