Bailiwick Chicago is pleased to present EASE ON DOWN, a dazzling, sizzling one-night-only concert packed with favorite tunes from The Wiz, Wicked, The Wizard of Oz and some fun surprises, performed by a talented line-up of award-winning Bailwick Chicago performers. Directed by Artistic Director Lili-Anne Brown (Passing Strange, See What I Wanna See, Dessa Rose, Princess Mary Demands Your Attention) with music direction by James Morehead (Aida, Passing Strange, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, See What I Wanna See, Dessa Rose), EASE ON DOWN will play Sunday, December 6 at 7:30 pm at Victory Gardens Theater (Zacek-McVay Main Stage), 2433 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. Tickets are currently available at bailiwickchicago.com.

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces casting for the remainder of its 2015-2016 season, which includes Federico Garcia Lorca's Blood Wedding, directed by Ensemble Member Daniel Ostling, and the World Premiere of Thaddeus and Slocum: A Vaudeville Adventure, written by Ensemble member Kevin Douglas and co-directed by Ensemble Member J. Nicole Brooks and Krissy Vanderwarker. Blood Wedding runs March 2 - April 24, 2016 with tickets on sale to the general public starting January 13, 2016. Thaddeus and Slocum runs June 1 - August 7, 2016 with tickets on sale to the general public starting April 6, 2016. Porchlight Music Theatre launched its 21st season with CHICAGO SINGS THE BEST OF MOTOWN, Monday, Aug. 17 at City Winery, 1200 W. Randolph St. The annual fundraiser shattered previous records with nearly 350 people in attendance and more than $30,000 raised for Porchlight Music Theatre's educational and artistic programming. Jeff Award-winning Artistic Director Bill Pullinsi joins forces with Jeff Award-winning Choreographer Danny Herman to co-direct the well-tuned, hot-rod musical, which continues Theatre at the Center's spectacular 25th Anniversary 2015 season. With a book by Tony Award-winning Joe DiPietro, nostalgic songs and sensational dance numbers, the hilarious musical will have audiences of all ages jumpin' out of their blue suede shoes.
