Upright Cabaret, the popular Los Angeles theatrical showcase featuring an eclectic mix of artists from stage, screen and the recording world, will present Broadway star Eden Espinosa as she debuts her solo show, Eden Espinosa- ME, in New York City.

After nearly three months off the stage, We are very proud to say that L.A.'s famed Upright Cabaret returns to Los Angeles with a brand spanking' new version of their 'Revue' which will debut with a star-studded line-up of talent directed by Upright's new Artistic Director and Broadway/Recording star Billy Porter.

Upright Cabaret has named veteran Broadway star, director and recording artist Billy Porter as Artistic Director overseeing work with affiliated artists on shaping their performances, liaise with musical directors on song selection and interpretation and provide added structure to existing shows. Porter will also work with Upright on cultivating new shows which further expand the cabaret art form, using Upright?s home base of Mark?s Restaurant in West Hollywood as a workshop for the development of new work.

Upright Cabaret will present Broadway star and recording artist Billy Porter as he debuts his one-man show, The Standard, on the West Coast with James Sampliner set to Music Direct.

L.A.'s famed Upright Cabaret kicked off their 2nd Season of star-studded poolside concert events at the new Ace Hotel & Swim Club with two sold out evenings with the stars under the stars! Upright Cabaret transformed into a winter wonderland of song last week as producers/hosts Chris Isaacson and Shane Scheel presented their 4th Annual HOLIDAY BLOWOUT 2008. This highly anticipated yearly event featured over 40 of Los Angeles' most talented performers, three Music Directors including Upright's Chris Bratten and guests Ben Toth and Gerald Sternbach, and welcomed over 700 patrons who came to be entertained on these four incredible evenings of cuisine, style and song.

Recently, the boys of Upright Cabaret attended the L.A. premiere of Emmy Award winner Leslie Jordan's new show entitled 'My Trip Down The Pink Carpet', and then sat down with Mr. Jordan and Director David Galligan to discuss the show, approaching off-Broadway run, and important social issues.
