The Washington Stage Guild completes the T.S. Eliot canon with the area premiere of The Elder Statesman.

PCPA has assembled a stellar cast for this summer's production of the French masterpiece, Edmond Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac. It plays exclusively in the Solvang Festival Theater under the stars, August 17 through September 1, 2013.

Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre revealed the seventh show selected for its upcoming season. The Tony Award-winning nonprofit will begin its 46th year of smart and adventurous shows with Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, the hilarious Broadway hit from three-time Obie Award-winner Christopher Durang. Respected director Richard E.T. White returns to the Bay Area to stage this hugely popular show in September.

theatreWashington just announced the 29th Helen Hayes Awards nominees today, January 28th, 2013 in The National Theatre's Helen Hayes Gallery. This year, for the first time, theatre lovers in Washington and around the world were able to watch the nomination announcements live via webcast at theatrewashington.org, Facebook, or on the Livestream. The bipartisan favorite of both theatre and political fans, Will on the Hill returns to the Shakespeare Theatre Company this spring. This year's Will on the Hill is marked by a performance of Toil and Trouble, an original play by Peter Byrne written with assistance from The West Wing Writers Group. Will on the Hill will be directed by STC Associate Director Alan Paul and take place on Monday, May 6, 2013, in Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW). The evening begins with a VIP cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the performance at 7:30 p.m. and a buffet dinner immediately following the performance.

McCarter Theatre Center, in association with The Shakespeare Theatre Company, will celebrate the opening night of William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale on Friday April 5. The production runs through April 21.

Arizona Theatre Company (ATC) closes its 2012-2013 season with the eagerly anticipated Arizona premiere of Bruce Norris' multi-award-winning, provocative new comedy, "Clybourne Park." Performances will be held at The Herberger Theater Center in downtown Phoenix May 2 through May 19, 2013. ATC season sponsors are I. Michael and Beth Kasser. Phoenix production sponsor is Zazu Pannee Park Regent.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company, recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award, presents a moving story about mistakes and forgiveness in William Shakespeare's famous play, The Winter's Tale. Directed by STC Affiliated Artist Rebecca Bayla Taichman, this visually stunning and intimate production will feature live musicians and a female approach to the tale. Co-produced with McCarter Theatre Center, The Winter's Tale will play at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW) from May 9-June 23, 2013.

THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, described as the provocative and wickedly funny theatrical adaptation of the C.S. Lewis novel about spiritual warfare from a demon's point of view, will return to Minneapolis for three performances only, after a successful engagement in May 2011. The production will run at the Pantages Theatre, 710 Hennepin Avenue, on Friday, May 10 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) has announced that Audra McDonald and Christopher Plummer will join Artistic Director Michael Kahn for two separate installments of the Classic Conversations series to be held at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F St. NW) on Monday, May 20, 2013, and June 3, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. respectively.

Mary T. & Lizzy K. stitches together an insider's look at the unique friendship between Mary Todd Lincoln and her talented dressmaker, the successful freed slave Elizabeth 'Lizzy' Keckly. Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces William Shakespeare's Henry VIII, the first professional Chicago production in 400 years since its debut at Shakespeare's Globe in London. Staged by Artistic Director Barbara Gaines in CST's Courtyard Theater April 30-June 16, 2013, Henry VIII features a celebrated company of artists that includes Gregory Wooddell in the title role and Christina Pumariega as Anne Boleyn. The acting company features an ensemble of veteran CST actors which includes Kate Buddeke, David Darlow, Kevin Gudahl, Scott Jaeck, Ora Jones, David Lively and Mike Nussbaum.
