Austin Shakespeare will present the New York premiere of the new stage adaptation of Ayn Rand's novel ANTHEM. The production directed by Artistic Director, Ann Ciccolella, originated in Austin at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in 2011, where Austin Shakespeare is a resident company. Previews are to begin September 25 at the Baryshnikov Arts Center's Jerome Robbins Theater in New York City - opening October 4and running for a ten week run through December 1, 2013

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd Artistic Director and Tristan Wilson Managing Director, has announced casting for Chaim Potok's The Chosen, adapted and directed by Aaron Posner, and Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Julianne Boyd at the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, 30 Union Street, Pittsfield.

American Stage Theatre Company announces the second play of our 2012-2013 Summer Series on our Mainstage: MY NAME IS ASHER LEV a new play by Aaron Posner, adapted from the best-selling novel by Chaim Potok. This production is an area premiere and winner of the 2013 Outer Critics Circle Award for 'Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play'. Previews tonight, July 17 and the 18th. Opening Night is July 19 and the production runs through August 25.

Juilliard's Drama Division announces the 2013-2014 season of fully-staged productions featuring Juilliard's 43rd group of acting students in their fourth and final year in the drama program at Juilliard. This season's plays include Jeffrey Hatcher's Smash, directed by Victor Pappas; Amy Herzog's The Great God Pan, directed by Maria Mileaf; and Sam Shepard's Buried Child, directed by Daniel Fish. All performances take place in the Stephanie P. McClelland Drama Theater at Juilliard.

Berkshire Theatre Group presents William Mastrosimone's Extremities at The Unicorn Theatre which opened on July 13 and runs through July 27 at 8pm.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company's annual Free For All is a much-loved Washington tradition, offering free Shakespeare performances to the general public for the past 22 years. This year the beloved tradition launches the Company's 2013-2014 Season by reviving Much Ado About Nothing, initially presented during the 2011-2012 Season with original direction by Ethan McSweeny. Much Ado About Nothing will run at STC's Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from August 20-September 1, 2013. Resident Assistant Director Jenny Lord will direct this delightful summer comedy for residents and visitors to D.C.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will launch its 2013 Lend Us Your Ears reading series with William Shakespeare's play about the nature of politics and politicians, Coriolanus. The reading, which features a prestigious cast of Shakespeare Theatre company members and guest artists, will take place on Monday, July 15th at 7 p.m. at the Shakespeare Theatre's Main Stage, the F.M. The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the Globe's revival of N. Richard Nash's classic romantic comedyThe Rainmaker. Directed by Maria Mileaf, The Rainmaker will run July 13 - August 11, 2013 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run July 13 - July 17. The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's enormously popular annual summer venue for family theatre under-the-stars will transform into the Forest of Arden when the Theatre presents its Outdoor Stage production of William Shakespeare's comedy As You Like It at the amphitheatre on the campus of the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morris Township. This replica of an ancient Greek theatre nestled into the hillside of the bucolic campus offers a theatrical event unique on the East Coast. Restoration comedy ends Everyman's hugely successful inaugural season.

THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, the provocative and wickedly funny theatrical adaptation of the C.S. Lewis novel about spiritual warfare from a demon's point of view, will return to Walnut Creek after playing to capacity audiences in October 2009. The limited engagement will run at the Hoffmann Theatre, Lesher Center for the Arts, 1601 Civic Drive in Walnut Creek, tonight, June 21 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, June 22 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, June 23 at 3 p.m.

Earlier today, the Tony Awards Administration Committee announced that starting with the 2013-2014 season, New York-based theatre companies can now be eligible to receive the Regional Theatre Award. BroadwayWorld has since confirmed that New York City theatre companies that are associated with a Broadway house will continue to be ineligible for the award- including such groups as Roundabout Theatre Company and Manhattan Theatre Club.
