Shakespeare at Notre Dame Hosts Two International Conferences

Shakespeare at Notre Dame is in the midst of hosting two international conferences on campus as part of their "Shakespeare: 1616-2016" celebration. First up is the second iteration of 2013's Shakespeare in Prisons Conference, titled, "Shakespeare in Prisons: In Practice."

Royal Court Theatre Sets Syrian/Lebanon Readings, The Big Idea & Live Lunch

The Royal Court has worked with a group of 12 writers from Syria and Lebanon over the last two years with workshops supported by the British Council in Broumana and Beirut. These workshops have been led by playwrights David Greig, Sam Holcroft and Royal Court International Director Elyse Dodgson. Excerpts from all of the plays were presented at Al Madina Theatre in Beirut in May 2015 directed by Richard Twyman.

Ellie Nunn, daughter of Shakespearean legend Sir Trevor Nunn, is making her West End Shakespeare debut in the role of Viola for Grassroots Shakespeare London as part of Shakespeare 400. The role was memorably played by her mother, Imogen Stubbs in the 1996 film directed by Sir Trevor.
