Neil Patrick Harris Confirms He Was Initially Offered 'LATE SHOW' Gig

Neil Patrick Harris, once rumored to be a contender to replace David Letterman on THE LATE SHOW, confirmed today to Howard Stern that he was, in fact, initially approached to succeed the late-night host. Harris said CBS' Les Moonves and Nina Tassler also offered him Craig Ferguson's spot in the later show, though he eventually turned both gigs down.

Starz today announced a two-season, 20-episode greenlight of 'Blunt Talk,' a half-hour scripted comedy series from Media Rights Capital (MRC). The project, from Seth MacFarlane ('Family Guy,' Ted, A Million Ways to Die in the West) and Jonathan Ames ('Bored to Death'), was picked up straight-to-series with 20 episodes over two seasons, set to air in 2015.
Sarah Silverman Joins Cast of Showtime's MASTERS OF SEX

Emmy-winning comedian and actress Sarah Silverman is joining the cast of season two of the acclaimed SHOWTIME drama series MASTERS OF SEX. Silverman will recur in the guest starring role of Helen. Production on season two is currently underway in Los Angeles, and will premiere on Sunday, July 13th at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME.

Neil Patrick Harris will return to Broadway in the new production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the musical with book by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, directed by Michael Mayer. The limited engagement, featuring Lena Hall (Kinky Boots, lead singer of The Deafening), will begin previews tomorrow, Saturday, March 29 for a Tuesday, April 22 opening night at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street).
