Theatre of NOTE announces that it is adding two performances to the first show of its 2014 season, the Los Angeles premiere of disassembly, written by Steve Yockey, (2013 recipient of the LA Weekly Playwriting Award), and directed by Ovation Award-winner Tom Beyer. DISASSEMBLY will add two performances on Friday, March 28 &Saturday, March 29 at 8pm at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N. Cahuenga Blvd (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood.

Mothers and Sons, the new play by four-time Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally and starring Tyne Daly, opens tomorrow, March 24, 2014 at Broadway's John Golden Theatre. Also in the cast are Bobby Steggert, Frederick Weller, and Grayson Taylor. Tony nominee Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall) directs. Profiles Theatre announces an extension for their Midwest premiere of Cock by Mike Bartlett, directed by Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox. The production opened February 20, 2014 and will extend for an additional seven weeks through May 25, 2014. Original cast members Eleni Pappageorge, Christopher Sheard and Jake Szczepaniak continue their roles with Torrey Hanson joining the cast beginning April 10, 2014. Performances are held at The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway.

I truly appreciate when a show realizes it doesn't need all the flash, all the bells and whistles, in order to be great. Sometimes a show has such a simple and straightforward story to tell that it just needs to tell it. Such is the case with "The Suit" currently playing at the Seattle Rep. This heartbreaking tale has such simple innate beauty that it needs only some chairs, a few musicians and a trio of gifted actors to convey the tragic allure of itself.

Gulfshore Playhouse will present American classic, All My Sons by Arthur Miller March 28th through April 19th, with a $25 preview performance on March 27th.

The Pasadena Playhouse announced Bruce Davison, Sharon Lawrence and RoxAnne Hart to star in A SONG AT TWILIGHT by Noel Coward, the fifth production of its 2013 - 2014 Season. A SONG AT TWILIGHT is performed tonight, March 18 to April 13; the press opening is Sunday, March 23.

Theater for the New City, the community cultural center that produces over thirty premieres of new American plays each year, is pleased to announce the return of acclaimed playwright Eduardo Machado with the world premiere of his new play Worship, directed by Michael Domitrovich. Premiere Stages at Kean University will hold its 10th Annual Spring Readings Series tonight, March 14 through Saturday, March 15 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, March 16 at 3:00 pm in the Murphy Dunn Theatre, located in Vaughn Eames Hall on Kean's central campus (1000 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J.).

The 2014 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity Gala 'One Acts for a Cause' is set to take place on Sunday, June 22 at 7:30pm at the East 13th Street Theater (136 East 13th Street). The evening, which will benefit the non-profit NYC food services agency City Harvest, will showcase world premiere one-act plays by four acclaimed playwrights: Obie Award-winner Israel Horovitz (Line, The Indian Wants the Bronx), Erik Ehn (13 Saints, Soulographie: Our Genocides at La MaMa; currently head of playwriting and professor of theatre and performance studies at Brown University), Wendy MacLeod (The House of Yes, Juvenilia and The Water Children which both premiered at Playwrights Horizons, and Things Being What They Are, which premiered at Seattle Repertory Theatre and had an extended run at Steppenwolf), and Winter Miller (In Darfur which premiered at The Public Theater; The Penetration Play produced by 13p). The Smith Center for the Performing Arts has now added a third and final week of performances for the world premiere of THE TEMPEST, which will now play April 6-27, with special preview performances April 1-4. The opening night celebration will take place on Saturday, April 5. Produced in association with the American Reparatory Theater (A.R.T.), THE TEMPEST is adapted and directed by Aaron Posner and Teller from the play by William Shakespeare, with magic by Teller, music by Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan and movement by Matt Kent of Pilobolus. THE TEMPEST will perform at The Smith Center's Donald W. Reynolds Symphony Park in a 500-seat climate-controlled tent. Tickets start at $35 for regular performances and $25 for preview performances. What happens when an elderly patient with dementia goes missing in a northern Idaho blizzard, leaving his wife and others behind to face the unknown? The story is Rest, a heartbreakingly funny and tender play commissioned by South Coast Repertory from Samuel D. Hunter. SCR Founding Artistic Director Martin Benson directs the world premiere of Rest, March 28-April 27, on the Segerstrom Stage. TeenTix, a Seattle-based arts access program for teenagers, has announced that it facilitated the sale of 10,689 five-dollar arts tickets to teens in 2013.

Court Theatre continues its 2013-2014 season with the Chicago premiere of Water by the Spoonful written by Quiara Alegria Hudes, and directed by Henry Godinez. All the Way, the new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, starring BREAKING BAD's Bryan Cranston, is currently in previews on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre.
