From Cabaret to Chicago, the non-stop hit-parade features unforgettable gems including 'Mr. Cellophane,' 'Maybe this Time,' 'Cabaret' and 'New York, New York', all seamlessly interwoven into a passionate, harmonious, up-tempo evening of musical theatre now onstage at Theatre Palisades, directed and choreographed by Victoria Miller with musical direction by Joshua Eli Kranz who also appears onstage accompanying the singers on a lusciously rich-sounding grand piano along with Anthony Barbarotta on drums and percussion. And thanks to Kranz's musical direction, the singers harmonize beautifully throughout the production.
The Old Globe Sets Cast, Creative Team for BASKERVILLE: A SHERLOCK HOLMES MYSTERY

The complete cast and creative team have been announced for the West Coast Premiere of Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, a new work by one of America's great comic playwrights, familiar to millions for Lend Me a Tenor and Crazy for You. Baskerville is directed by Josh Rhodes, who previously choreographed the Globe's productions of Bright Star and Working, as well as Broadway's It Shoulda Been You, First Date, and Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella. The Old Globe engagement will begin performances on July 24, with opening night on Thursday, July 30 at 8:00 p.m., in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Although originally scheduled to run through August 23, Baskerville has been extended by popular demand through August 30, 2015!

West End stars and esteemed musical theatre concert artists Oliver Tompsett (Wicked, We Will Rock You) and Debbie Kurup (Chicago, The Bodyguard) will headline a brand new British production of The World Goes Round: The Songs of Kander & Ebb, which will play a limited run of four nights only from Sunday 5th to Wednesday 8th July 2015 at the Pheasantry in Chelsea .

For many San Diegans, their ability to understand and appreciate the wonders of the Bard during our Summer Shakespeare Festival has increased exponentially since they joined us for Thinking Shakespeare Live!, a 90-minute exploration of the language of Shakespeare led by Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein and assisted by three professional classical actors.

Star of such hit films as Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Paper Moon & Clue & Broadway shows On the Twentieth Century, The Sisters Rosensweig & Two by Two, Kahn is the subject of a new biography, MADELINE KAHN: Being the Music • A Life (University Press of Mississippi) by William V. Madison, moderated the panel.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Tammy Blanchard, Patrick Breen, John Benjamin Hickey, Alex Hurt, Kellie Overbey, John Pankow, and Stephen Plunkett will comprise the cast of its upcoming production of DADA WOOF PAPA HOT, a new play by Peter Parnell, to be directed by Scott Ellis. DADA WOOF PAPA HOT begins performances Thursday, October 15 and opens on Monday, November 9 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street).
