The Museum of Modern Art (MoMa) has announced their events and exhibitions for November, 2014.

Revolution of the Eye: Modern Art and the Birth of American Television, the first exhibition to explore how avant-garde art influenced the look and content of network television in its formative years, will be on view at the Jewish Museum from May 1, 2015 through September 20, 2015.

A Hollywood Costume-related film series, Haunted Screens: Expressionism in the German Cinema and its Influence and the latest installment of the Academy Film Scholars Lectures highlight the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' fall programming season, starting next month.

Screenwriter Robert Towne and actress Cicely Tyson. Both Towne and Tyson will be recognized for their 'contributions of distinction to the art of the moving image.'

This year's 86th Academy Awards posters 'Liquid' and 'Spotlight' were created by Rocket Studio's artist and creative director, Casey Leveque, from designs by ad agency 180LA.

Museum of the Moving Image will present a weekend program devoted to exploring early works of computer animation, organized by guest curators Leo Goldsmith and Gregory Zinman. This series of screenings and conversations, Computer Age: Early Computer Movies, 1952-1987, will take place today, November 15 through 17, 2013. Screenings include avant-garde works ranging from oscilloscope experiments to computer-assisted psychedelia; formative digital advertising and music videos; as well as feature films that incorporated these techniques into the mainstream.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, in partnership with New York University and the Orphan Film Symposium, will present 'The Real Indies: A Close Look at Orphan Films,' a two-day screening series on Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11, at the Academy's Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood. The series, honoring orphan films - rarely- seen, previously neglected works deserving preservation and revival - will open on Friday at 8 p.m. with the West Coast premiere of the restoration of 'Portrait of Jason,' the groundbreaking 1967 documentary feature about a gay African American by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Shirley Clarke.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) will present 'Saul Bass: A Life in Film & Design,' celebrating one of the 20th century's most acclaimed designers, on Monday, November 14, at 7 p.m. at MoMA in New York City.

The Museum of Modern Art will present To Save and Project: The Ninth MoMA International Festival of Film Preservation, the annual festival of preserved and restored films from archives, studios, and distributors around the world, from October 14 through November 19, 2011.

The colorful, graphically complex original paintings created for iconic movie advertising campaigns will hang alongside the final one-sheets for such films as 'My Fair Lady,' 'Camelot,' 'Superman,' 'Star Trek - The Motion Picture' and 'Apocalypse Now' in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' new exhibition, 'Bob Peak: Creating the Modern Movie Poster.' Opening to the public on Thursday, January 20, in the Academy's Fourth Floor Gallery, the exhibition will run through April 17. Admission is free.
