Subprime - a dark comedy about the personal consequences of the financial crisis - has its world premier in Jersey City next week.

Veteran publicist Beck Lee is coming out!  His dark comedy "Subprime," which represents his professional debut as a playwright, premieres in a workshop production at the Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) in June.  It could be the easiest-to-get-to out-of-town try-out on record… just a PATH ride away.  And you are invited to cover it!

The Barrow Group announced today their 2017 Benefit Parties, which will celebrate the work of TBG's long-successful producing theatre company while also raising funds for student scholarships to support greater diversity at The Barrow Group. TBG will honor Shimite Obialo and Vaughn Buffalo, two supporters who have championed the company's mission to create excellent theatre, using an aesthetic that encourages authentic, clear, and spontaneous storytelling.

The New 42nd Street just hosted its annual Gala, celebrating 25 years, last night, April 11 at The New Victory Theater. The evening honored Douglas Durst, Bruce C. Ratner, Daniel R. Tishman, and Mortimer B. Zuckerman with the Marian Heiskell Award and President of The New 42nd Street, Cora Cahan, with the New Victory Arts Award. Bay Street Theatre's world premiere of CONVICTION, begins tonight, May 27, continues through June 15, and is by Carey Crim and directed by Scott Schwartz, Bay Street's new Artistic Director. The production is co-produced by Bay Street Theatre, Rubicon Theatre in California, Dead Posh Productions, London and Canada's Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre. The 'Pay What You Can' performance will be on May 27 at 7 pm. 'PWYC' tickets are limited and will be available at the Box Office beginning at 2 pm on May 27. Jermyn Street Theatre presents ON APPROVAL by Frederick Lonsdale, directed by Anthony Biggs with designs by Cherry Truluck and lighting design by David W Kidd. The production will run tonight, 9 April - 4 May 2013 at Jermyn Street Theatre. Press Night 11 April 7.30pm.

Jermyn Street Theatre has announced the cast for the first major revival in nearly twenty years of Frederick Lonsdale's On Approval. The Olivier Award winning actress Sarah Crowe, who was last seen at the theatre in the UK premiere of Henrik Ibsen's St John's Night will play Maria Wislake alongside Louise Calf, who was also part of the Ibsen cast, as Helen Hayle. Daniel Hill will play Richard Halton whilst Peter Sandys-Clarke will play George, The Duke of Bristol.

The New 42nd Street Gala took place on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, to celebrate the New Victory Theater Education Programs. The event honored the Australia Council for the Arts and included a performance by the Melbourne-based Australian troupe, Circus Oz, followed by a dinner reception at the Liberty Theater. The event was co-chaired by Adelina Wong Ettelson, Sarah Jessica Parker and Fiona Howe Rudin. Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber attended as guests.
