Jermyn Street Theatre today announces its first full season under Anthony Biggs, with a series of challenging, exciting and contrasting productions set to ignite this studio theatre in the heart of the West End. Ranging from a season of Stephen Berkoff short works to be played in repertory, to a revival of Wicker Man author David Pinner's 1974 comedy The Potsdam Quartet, to a new fun filled family musical Little Beasts (What Happens To Naughty Children) based on the 18th Century cautionary children's tale What Happens To Naughty Children, the season continues and extends the theatre's dedication to rediscovery but now places its work firmly within a contemporary context

Three world premieres, seven productions in all, are scheduled for the 10th season at the Douglas. The works range from a new rock musical to a sweeping new drama to a masterful interpretation of the works of Beckett, plus the bonus option of The Second City's one-of-a-kind Christmas show. In addition, three Los Angeles solo artists will be presented in the popular DouglasPlus program, and will represent CTG in the Radar L.A. festival.

The Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) (Producing Artistic Director, Ty Jones), presents the Shakespeare classic A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Artistic Associate Justin Emeka this summer in Harlem's Richard Rodgers Amphitheater in Marcus Garvey Park. Performances of the free play, which runs July 13-30 (on Tuesdays through Sunday) at 7:30 pm, are made possible by the Ford Foundation.

Cuban National Office of Scenic Arts, The University of Alabama and Company HavanaBama invite you to the World Premiere of ALCESTIS ASCENDING, a new play with music based on Euripides' classic drama. Written and directed by Seth Panitch, this groundbreaking collaboration combines actors and dancers from the Cuban National Office of Scenic Arts (several of whom are TV stars in Cuba) as well as actors from the University of Alabama. Horse Trade Theater Group will present Less Than Rent Theatre's World Premiere of Ben Diserens' BECKETT IN BENGHAZI, July 25-August 10 at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place). The production will be directed by James Presson (FringeNYC Award Winner for Directing in 2010) and feature Julie Voshell (Movin' Out; Pop), Becca Ballenger (American Stare), Adam Weppler (Waiting for Lefty with Roundabout; Puppet Hamlet), Rachel B. Joyce (Muskego Lake, Desire! A Varsouviana), Brendan McDonough (Three Sisters with The Assembly), and Patrick Dooley (Words, Razors, and the Wounded Heart). Designs will feature sets by Dan Geggatt (Asuncion; Billy Witch), costumes by Jenni Meador, sound by Emily Auciello (The Dance and the Railroad at Signature Center), choreography by Jennifer Delac, and fight design by Cory Asinofsky (Richard 3).

TampaWorks is an evening of short plays set in Tampa Bay area locations. This year's TampaWorks is totally a Stageworks production. Playwrights from all over central Florida submitted scripts. The submissions were evaluated by a panel of judges, who chose eight short plays for the production. The production is being sponsored in part by Tucker/Hall, The Tampa Chamber Of Commerce and The Tampa Downtown Partnership. Theatre for a New Audience has been partnering for 15 years with P.S. 235 in Canarsie, Brooklyn, with an annual 13-week program that combines the experience of seeing a great Shakespearean play with in-depth classroom work. P.S. 235 is a Pre-K to Grade 8 school which attracts gifted and talented students, largely of Caribbean descent, from all over Brooklyn.
