Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts continues the 2012-13 season of its Composer Portraits series with: REBECCA SAUNDERS, featuring Either/Or with Richard Carrick, conductor. Miller favorites Either/Or perform a full program of U.S. premieres by the British-born, Berlin-based composer. The concert will include an onstage discussion with Rebecca Saunders and Richard Carrick. It will all take place tonight, April 4, 2013.

Lincoln Center Theater previously announced that Betsy Aidem, Blair Brown, Michael Cerveris, Anthony Cochrane, Lauren Culpepper, Alvin Epstein, Kathryn Erbe, John Glover, Jennifer B. Grace, Katie Kreisler, Stephen Kunken, Haviland Morris, Dale Place, John Procaccino, Gareth Saxe and Alan Schmuckler would be featured in the 18-member cast of its world premiere production of NIKOLAI AND THE OTHERS, a new play by Richard Nelson. The play, which was commissioned by Lincoln Center Theater, will be directed by David Cromer and will begin performances tonight, April 4 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Opening night is Monday, May 6.

The Stratford Festival has announced that comedians Albert Howell, Elvira Kurt and Matt Watts will be part of this season's Forum, joining the impressive lineup of comics already confirmed for June 13's Stand Off, featuring Sean Cullen, Chris Gibbs and Sharon Matthews.

The Ensemble of Shattered Globe Theatre will present AN EVENING OF BECKETT starring renowned Beckett protege and San Quentin Drama Workshop founder Rick Cluchey in KRAPP'S LAST TAPE and his own solo piece, SAM AND RICK, in which he shares his personal experiences with the legendary Irish playwright. The two one-acts will play eight performances only, May 2 - 12, 2013 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Amalgamate Dance Company (ADC) is not your typical dance company. Moving beyond concert dance as a beautiful art form to watch to dance for a purpose, ADC presents 'Giving Back and Moving Forward' as an artistic platform for communities to actively engage in charity work. For their annual Spring Gala, ADC has chosen to raise aphasia awareness in conjunction with The National Aphasia Association (NAA). ADC will offer two exciting programs including the premiere of a new dance work inspired by Aphasia research and a documentary of the making of the dance work.

The linguistic genius behind The Importance of Being Earnest plunges us into the visceral, intoxicating world of King Herod and his enticing young stepdaughter, Salome. After being rejected by John the Baptist, Salome's unbridled desire for the pious prophet quickly turns into an uncontrollable lust for revenge. Wilde's sensational adaptation of this biblical tale dramatizes the eternal struggle between body and soul. Cregan's inspired production will feature stunning aerial dance, live drumming and chant, and a striking, elemental set design.

The Catastrophic Theatre(TCT) opened their new season at their new Catastrophic Theatre space with an astounding production of Samuel Beckett's stark tragicomedy WAITING FOR GODOT. The company has used the performance space in the past in collaboration with DiverseWorks, but the 1119 East Freeway location is now solely theirs, giving them a fantastic home to present their fascinating work.

Jermyn Street Theatre has announced the cast for the first major revival in nearly twenty years of Frederick Lonsdale's On Approval. The Olivier Award winning actress Sarah Crowe, who was last seen at the theatre in the UK premiere of Henrik Ibsen's St John's Night will play Maria Wislake alongside Louise Calf, who was also part of the Ibsen cast, as Helen Hayle. Daniel Hill will play Richard Halton whilst Peter Sandys-Clarke will play George, The Duke of Bristol.

No Accidents Productions presents the world premiere of FOUR MESSAGES, a new musical by Ned Massey, author of the NYMF hit BLOODTIES, with previews set to begin April 17, prior to an official press opening on Tuesday, April 23, at Theatre Row's Studio Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). As it opens Lawrence Wright's Fallaci, its 65th world premiere, Berkeley Repertory Theatre also announces open registration for its Summer Theatre Intensive and Teen Actors Studio programs. These summer camps provide middle- and high-school students a rigorous and rewarding training program with full access to the creativity and operations of the Tony Award-winning nonprofit. Throughout June and July, local youth will adapt and mount their own performances on one of the Theatre's renowned stages.

Akvavit Theatre presents two Chicago and one United States premieres of the work of Europe's most-produced living playwright, Norway's Jon Fosse, under the unified title of Gjenganger, February 28 - March 24, 2013 at the DCASE Storefront Theater, 66 East Randolph St. The "short full-length" plays, presented in rotation (two per night and all three Sundays) are: Winter, directed by Paul S. Holmquist, Autumn Dream, directed by Breahan Eve Pautsch,* and A Summer's Day, directed by Wm. Bullion.* Original musical arrangements for the three plays are by Dag Juhlin of Poi Dog Pondering. The performance schedule for Gjenganger is Thursdays (A Summer's Day/Winter), Fridays (Winter/Autumn Dream) and Saturdays (Autumn Dream/A Summer's Day) at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays (all three plays) at 3 p.m. ("Gjenganger" is the Norwegian word for "those who walk again.")
