BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Donald R. Seawell, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Broadway producer and the first to bring the Royal Shakespeare Company to New York, died today, September 30, 2015. He was 103.

Paul Crewes, the pioneering head of Great Britain's innovative Kneehigh Theatre group, will take the artistic helm next month at the two-year old performing arts center in the heart of Beverly Hills.

Joe Dowling, the Guthrie Theater's recently retired artistic director, was honored at the 2015 Ivey Lifetime Achievement Award, the celebration of Twin Cities theater, on September 21 at the Historic State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis.
