Profiles Theatre announces an extension for their Midwest premiere of Cock by Mike Bartlett, directed by Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox. The production opened February 20, 2014 and will extend for an additional seven weeks through May 25, 2014. Original cast members Eleni Pappageorge, Christopher Sheard and Jake Szczepaniak continue their roles with Torrey Hanson joining the cast beginning April 10, 2014. Performances are held at The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway.

According to Deadline, Sally Hawkins (BLUE JASMINE) and Catherine Keener have signed on to join Michael Cera and John Hawkes in FX's upcoming comedy pilot HOW AND WHY.

Thirty One Productions is proud to present, by arrangement with Samuel French Ltd, BASH Latterday Plays by Neil LaBute. BASH Latterday Plays is a collection of three one act plays. In the first, Iphigenia In Orem, a businessman from Utah divulges a chilling crime to a stranger in a Las Vegas hotel room. In A Gaggle Of Saints, a young Mormon couple each describe their version of events of a night in New York City. In Medea Redux, a woman recounts her intricate relationship with her junior high-school English teacher. Together, these one acts paint a vivid picture of the evils found in everyday life.

An Actors Touring Company, Young Vic Theatre, Brageteatret & Schauspielhaus Wien Co-Production, THE EVENTS by David Greig, is set for a UK and US tour and Young Vic return in 2014, directed by Ramin Gray and featuring music composed by John Browne.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre continues the second half of its season with Tribes, a sophisticated and moving family drama by celebrated British playwright Nina Raine. Her profound and powerful new play became an award-winning hit in London and New York. Now renowned director Jonathan Moscone brings it to Berkeley Rep this April for its Bay Area premiere. Tribes follows Billy, a young man who was born deaf into a loquacious and highly opinionated academic family who raised him to lip-read and integrate into the hearing world. When he meets Sylvia - raised by Deaf parents and going deaf herself - Billy decides it's time to speak on his own terms and to be heard. Playing out in words, sign language, and sometimes mesmerizing silence, this penetrating drama examines familial love, notions of belonging, and the intersections of communication. Tribes start previews Friday, April 11, opens on April 16, and closes on Sunday, May 11, 2014.

Traverse Theatre Company will be in New York this April, taking Fringe 2013 hits A Respectable Widow Takes to Vulgarity and Clean for a month-long run at 59E59 Theaters, marking New York's Scotland Week (3 - 10 April) as part of 59E59 Theaters' Brits Off Broadway season.

Previews begin tomorrow night, Saturday, March 8, for the return to Broadway of Tony Award-winner and two-time Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington, starring as Walter Lee Younger in Lorraine Hansberry's A RAISIN IN THE SUN. The Douglas Morrisson Theatre (DMT) has announced the sixth production in the 2013-2014 'Bare Bones' staged reading series: 'DYING CITY' by Christopher Shinn, a provocative, psychological drama about two people who share a tragic legacy.

Chicago-Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, announces a forthcoming artistic exchange with Ireland through the co-production of Chapatti, a new work developed through Northlight's Interplay program. The co-production of Chapatti will premiere at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie, today, March 7-April 13, 2014, and will open at the Galway Arts Festival in July 2014. Chapatti, by acclaimed Irish playwright Christian O' Reilly, will be directed by Artistic Director BJ Jones and will feature John Mahoney and Penny Slusher.

The cast has been announced for Gurpreet Kaur Bhatti's new play, Khandan (Family) at Birmingham Repertory Theatre (22 May to 7 June) and Royal Court Theatre (11 - 28 June). The cast includes , Rez Kempton and Zita Sattar.

Holliday Grainger, Olivia Hallinan, Emily Taafffe and Paul McGann will head the cast at Southwark Playhouse from April 3, it was announced today.

59E59 Theaters will launch the Scotland Week celebrations with US premiere of the double bill of A RESPECTABLE WIDOW TAKES TO VULGARITY by Douglas Maxwell and CLEAN by Sabrina Mahfouz, both directed by Orla O'Loughlin. Produced by the Traverse Theatre, A RESPECTABLE WIDOW TAKES TO VULGARITY and CLEAN begin performances on Wednesday, April 2 for a limited engagement through Saturday, April 26.
